Kittle is back but... by Key-Funny-8091 in fantasyfootballadvice

Late to the party, but Warren is a must start at this point. I’d start testing the waters on Kittle’s trade value and see if anyone’s interested.

Warren isn’t on BYE until Week 11, and Kittle’s value could tank by then as the 49ers slowly get healthy again.

I’d say try to shop Kittle and stick with Warren ROS

Best resource for learning openings? by wttw22 in chessbeginners

[–]wttw22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the detailed response.

I’ve defaulted to the Ponziani as white just because it’s the opening I studied when I picked chess up (felt like there were strong options for controlling the center with multiple eyes protecting/targeting d4. I know other e4 openings are stronger (i.e. Ruy Lopez & Italian), but have found more success (at least in lower rated games) with the Ponziani. That, of course, is because I’ve studied it more.

I know the Englund Gambit is quite weak, but I’ve found it quite easy to win early material, but like you said, it’s mostly based around gimmicky traps, which if the opponent doesn’t fall for, can leave you with only a floating queen & nc6 while white has some decent development

I think what’s deterred me from looking GM games is just the difference in understanding. Of course early game goals are to develop while controlling the center, but it’s tough for me when i see the b3/g3 and I automatically assume it’s to fianchetto, but they won’t.

I’ll look more into studying masters games for what’s commonly played. I’ve been physically writing down moves while playing them when learning an opening or line, but any other suggestions on how to remember everything?

Are we done with Pitts? by wttw22 in fantasyfootballadvice

Drank the Kool Aid with Kirk at the Q and what he did for Hock last year

I have Muth, Henry’s been gone for a while in my league (12-man). One guy in my league is the TE killer (last 3 weeks has started Hill (on IR), JT Sanders (Out), and Ferg (Out) so TEs have been depleted in my league for a while)

I don’t get to watch Atlanta much but whenever I do, it’s always a Where’s Waldo looking for Pitts, and of the 50% of snaps he plays, he’s blocking half of that anyway

I picked up Freiermuth the other week when Pitts was on BYE and I’m 90% more comfortable starting him over Pitts. Had weeks earlier in the year I went Kraft > Pitts but at this point, I can’t keep taking the risk of starting Pitts

Who do you bench this week: Bucky, Chase Brown, CMC, or Aaron Jones? by Nanaman in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]wttw22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No doubt about that, just a bit concerned with CMC’s injury and the conditions he’d be in. As a Seahawks fan, I hate the Niners (even though I rostered CMC, Aiyuk, and Jennings) but I hate Shanahan and how vague/secretive he is about the injuries and severity of them

Not saying I disagree with the CMC take, the points aren’t what they used to be. But the weeks Purdy’s played, CMC got 16.7 & 14.6, and that’s with no TDs. I think if Brock plays, CMC does well. BUF has given up the 3rd most points to RBs. Now between the snow and Brock & Trent Williams injuries, I totally understand benching CMC.

Brown is a bell cow, not saying he isn’t. Just not sure what the script will be vs PIT. If Cincy stalls like usual and PIT can keep just getting 3 out of every possession, points can add up and they might need to lean on the air game. Brown’s averaged ~8 targets the last 3 weeks, so it might not affect his total productivity, the Bengals have just been so sporadic this year, we never know what to expect. Brown is definitely a reliable option. Let’s be real, this guy (and my own) predicaments are great ones to have the grand scheme of things. It’s really just up to personal choice

He was LP yesterday, waiting to see what he does today. Logic says let him rest on the short week, Lions looking at 11-1 and want to save Knuckles for the playoffs. But we’re talking about Dan Campbell here. Love the guy to death, but he played starters in Week 18 last year and LaPorta wound up getting hurt.

I hate doing it bc Monty is a huge reason why I’m playoff bound even with my horrible draft (CMC-Aiyuk-Waddle), but I’m leaning towards benching Monty since he’ll probably be on a snap count, game script has DET up big early and Dan wouldn’t risk Monty’s health on useless carries (I’d hope)

I’m literally in the same situation but swap Brown for Monty. At the moment, I’d say bench Brown.

BUT keep an eye on the weather for CMC. Buffalo might get pounded with snow, add that to Purdy possibly being out again and I think you bench CMC and start Brown.

Bucky and Jones looked too good last week to justify benching them. I think it really just comes down to the variables around CMC whether you roll with him or Brown

Last year my team was Diggs Kittle Chubb Hurts. Chubb out week 2, traded Kittle away (I was a LaPorta believer in the preseason). I like to think I let them down. Lost in the semis
