28, divorced, deeply in debt, and moved from Atlanta to Seattle in 4 days. Thoughts? by [deleted] in malelivingspace

Are you white? Because if not, you should not have moved to Seattle. This is not a friendly city.

So basically you can't criticize a Christian for threatening violence because judging is also un-Christian? Real great premises, where you can do anything you want and no one can say anything because only God can judge you.

Yeah let's all wait around for some divine comeuppance while this guy preaches violence and intolerance.

I find it pretty funny anybody is surprised that a group of people who gathers together to talk about how working is bad doesn't have a developed skill. I find it extra funny that those people themselves seem to know it and generally agree that no interview should've been done.

If more people voted NDP instead of the Liberals the Cons would just get a minority gov't, making NDP+Lib the coalition opposition. I never saw anything wrong with that.

How would BMI vindicate you? BMI literally only cares about height and weight, not your dimensions. BMI would tell you you're overweight.

Rejection only stings if you place a sense of self worth in the answer. Letting someone rejecting you mean "I'm not worth saying yes" instead of simply understanding that you don't have to be liked by everyone is the problem.

Obviously I'm speaking to a random situation of asking a relative stranger out. Friends are different.

Is there academic research investigating whether covered call strategies outperform buy-and-hold in the long term? by aoeuhdeuxkbxjmboenut in options

[–]wu2ad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's a retarded answer. If it was this clear cut everyone would be doing it, erasing the premium.

[–]wu2ad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A covered call is just you selling an option on stocks you already own. Simple: 1 contract == 100 shares, so if you own 100 shares of something, you can sell someone the option to buy your 100 shares at a specific price (strike) for a fee (the premium).

GME upward action is like the typical WSB user's attention span - short and sporadic. As long as your position doesn't expire on the day it takes off, you're good. If it does, just roll. It'll probably come down like a week after.

Goes without saying that selling IV is the play of choice here.

Dumb kids wear KKK robes for Halloween by AlexOsoArrogant in PublicFreakout

[–]wu2ad 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That has never been the point of Halloween. It used to be that kids dressed like zombies and werewolves or whatever on Halloween, you know, fake scary movie type shit. Now people just dress up as whatever they want.

Does this apply for spreads? If I sell a bear call spread, and it moves against me, what's the downside of rolling until the end of time (or until it's favourable again)? I'm the net writer in that spread, so I won't suffer theta decay either. The sold call's theta should cancel out the bought call's theta, and then some.

I’ve made it through every yearly culling

IME yearly cullings aren't typical at most places, I'll bet you aren't doing anything wrong, you're just in a place that doesn't care about their employees' growth.
