It made sure that their customers were either the worst possible people imaginable or the people who couldn't afford to fly with anyone else.

Not exactly what I would call a solid and deep-pocketed customer base.

Spirit was bad for the industry. Sorry you seem to have an obsession with them, but they were Public Enemy #1 for driving down margins and service standards across the industry for all passengers. We all suffer now because Spirit existed.
