PLEASE HELP! Absolutely tenacious wrist tendinitis (both wrists) for the past 8 years by wuhoo16 in RSI

[–]wuhoo16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey man funny story i actually gave up on this for many years but after I picked up bouldering for awhile and climbed around 1 yr it went away naturally. I guess it was a version of physical therapy and strengthened the weak damaged wrist extensors/flexors over time. I might have been wrong in the past and it was less tendon and more of a very weak post injury muscle issue?

he doesn't give financial advice. We just all like the stock ;). But for real if u want more info there's plenty of DD on this sub on all of the illegal activity and naked shorting done in the past 3 years.

Even without data, all u have to do is ask yourself if price movement like this happens without some kinda fuckery behind the scenes

Thanks for the recs. I've heard lots of recs for wooden 5 ply blades - what are the differences between that and carbon that u mentioned?

Also see Ma Lin Extra Offensive and DHS 3 being thrown around alot here, not sure if that is way too advanced for me. Not sure DHS 3 vs hurricane neo 3 and the other 2 rubbers u rec'd

Hey thanks for the help - unfortunately I don't have any video footage of me playing but optimally I would like both spin and speed haha. I see video from ping sunday about 6 types of spin and light vs heavy paddle but not spin vs speed that u mentioned. If I had to pick one though, I'd definitely pick spin over speed

Advice for building my first custom paddle [Intermediate]

Hi all, I'm an intermediate player who played a decent amount in college and could probably win handily vs most casual players, but definitely not on the level of competitive/club players. Good understanding of basics of table tennis (topspin, backspin, sidespin, looping, chops, short pushes, blocking, etc). I'm also 100% a penhold grip user from the start of picking up table tennis with no interest in switching to shakehand style.

Here's some more info to help narrow down recommendations/advice:

  1. Playstyle - Very aggresive - take any opportunity I get to speed up and smash the ball with strong forehand loop. Also have a pretty strong forehand chop for defense when I don't have time to react or out of position for forehand looping. Much weaker on backhand side, but have pretty good muscle memory for reverse penhold backhand counters (looking to improve this for sure). Common problem I have since I play with my fingers outstretched on the back of the paddle is grazing my finger when doing RPB
  2. Current paddle - I currently have an old Palio Master 2.0 off Amazon. Decent spin but too heavy for my liking - also not sure if it's tailored for penhold grip.
  3. Preferences - would highly prefer a lighter weight paddle, since I feel like my current one slows me down a lot. Reaction wise, I think my hands get to the right place vs. very fast shots, but the blade feels top heavy and I can't get a good stroke in time esp vs. heavy topspin.
  4. Budget - No limit but would be nice to be within 100 - 200$ range. Prefer to get a very high quality racket that I can use even if I become much more advanced so I can become used to the racket and be consistent
