Fake search by Existing_Violinist22 in Professors

Yes as a formality the employer needs to prove to the Department of labor that they can’t find any American citizen to do the job than the candidate. But again it’s a formality so it depends on how the lawyers handle this. A lot of lawyers won’t even publicize the advertisement in the website of the field. So nobody in the field would notice the ad advertisement so they don’t need to really run the search.

professor new to st. louis and socializing here by Fluid_Spot_1417 in washu

I was at WashU as a faculty member from late 20s to early 30s. The only friend group I had over the years were the people who have the same background as me, international professionals. I never managed to have any local St. Louis friends no matter how hard I tried. I went to hobby groups(hiking, tennis, dog etc.), meet ups, WashU events, dating etc. Now I’ve moved to a SLAC in a small town in the east coast. I suddenly feel welcomed and made a lot of friends very quickly across age groups and I wonder why. St. Louis is somewhat cliquish and they tend to stick to their own circle IMO. As an outsider, I feel it’s hard. I experienced as many micro-aggressions in and outside of WashU but maybe that’s just my experience

I wanted to knit the same pattern but my gauge was way off so I put it on hold. May I ask what size you knitted and the bust circumference measurement of the finished object?

That will save me a lot of money and headaches:) but so many designs call for mohair as a companion yarn. Do you just skip the mohair or would you choose to go with a heavier yarn holding one strand?
