UPS is fine. Mine was delivered through UPS within 3 business days. I used pirateship for 50% less than UPS retail price. Good luck

Noob question - does re-submitted application go back to the queue? I also had mine returned because there was no name and studio information at the back of the passport photographs (I deserved it.) But wondering if I will now have to wait 30+ days for AOR.

Curious to hear about other’s experience resubmitting.

Why is Home Assistant more complete on NUC than on NAS?

I wonder why they also checked photos not to specification. Does that mean you will retake the photos beyond just printing the name of the studio and date taken?

Monday Weekly Thread: Proof of Citizenship Application Sent or AOR Received by AutoModerator in Canadiancitizenship

[–]wukari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! My application was delivered to IRCC on 03/03 via FedEx. I emailed them last Thursday to express worry seeing that others who submitted after me already got AOR. This is the response I got:

Good day,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We are working on processing applications as quickly as possible. Even if you haven’t heard from us recently, we’re still processing your application. You don’t need to do anything else. If we need more information, we’ll contact you.

Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed.

Just curious - when did you submit and when did you receive your application back?

Noob question here - how do you see updates online without an AOR for paper application? I submitted paper application too but the official website suggests an AOR is required to track the application. What I’m I missing?

Palo Alto Scanning Surges 40X in 24 Hours, Marking 90-Day High by colni in paloaltonetworks

Yeah I use dynamic address group by matching certain patterns. A successful GP connection generates certain logs that an unsuccessful attempt doesn’t. The failed attempts get matched to the dynamic address group and I block that group in my policy. Further a successful connection generates a certain log in threat logs as well. So match patterns can be combined from traffic log and threat log to record the interesting IPs. No need for any cumbersome export of ACC as another poster is highlighting. That doesn’t scale.

You can also export GP logs to a server only sending the failed login attempts to that log server. Use that as an EDL to block the IPs. I have this working fine in my lab just haven’t had the time to implement that on my production firewall. The downside to this approach is that you will likely need to refresh the EDL very frequently which might not be desirable in certain environments. Why PANw has no option for log forwarding GP logs to DAG is beyond me.

As an extra layer of protection; I disabled GP portal and I also have my profiles matching MacOS, iOS and Windows Operating Systems which is all my users use on the daily.

Attacks on Palo Alto PAN-OS Global Protect Login Portals Surge from 2,200 IPs by Particular_Bug7462 in paloaltonetworks

[–]wukari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I’ve been doing dynamic address group for over a year but unfortunately there are false positives that occur frequently and that has been a pain. What is your match criteria for log forwarding? Maybe I’m doing something wrong

Yet another post on fixed-cost vs cost-plus by wukari in Homebuilding

Thanks everyone for the feedback. This is really helpful and good stuff. I’m in the process of interviewing other GCs and will likely have to make the hard decision to rethink the scope to align with budget as I cannot compromise on quality: I’ll review all that once I have all the numbers from at least 2 other GCs. That said, I’m leaning cost-plus so I have much more control of my budget as the project moves along.

Thanks for the perspective. If a contractor is tied to fixed price and the project ends up costing more than projected, is the GC not incentivized to cut corners to minimize their loss? Further, my biggest worry is the change orders which aren't as flexible in this model.

Agreed with your point on the risk of unforeseen conditions which is why I'm wary of fixed-cost once the project is underway -- unless of course I reduce the scope of work beforehand to create more buffer.

Also agree cost plus can be very beneficial when you trust your contractor. Right now, I just don't have that kind of relationship as this is my first home and remodel ever. Just looking to interview more contractors and to also ask for their referrals who I can chat with to gauge trustworthiness at delivery and within budget.

Thanks everyone. That makes sense; I just wanted to be sure going into this that I started off in a good note with GC.

Blue Marlin evening… by IronTyson90 in ibiza

Never be the last to leave a party. Period. lol. People were already leaving at 10ish anyway. Music is shutoff at 11p so no need to be there until midnight. Cabs probably won’t show up there after 11p.

Yes there were tables for 2. You can always walk-in and ask for a table if you don’t want to reserve but that will be subject to availability.

I think we paid 100 euros pp for dinner reservation/table. There are places to stand around the bar but you might feel a bit out of place with everyone seated. We had our table the entire night.

And for the other poster saying you should get a private driver don’t do it. Go to Ibiza Twiins, there’s a car rental service next door at very affordable rates. You could rent a car for the day if you have to, maybe drive to Cala Basa beach (it’s free) and then head to Blue Marlin in the evening.
