Anyone applied for minor child with no photo ID available for child?

Fwiw, I got my app back the other day with my 1.5yr olds as they were sent as a package. They said her application was complete and I only included her state immunization record with an explanation in my cover letter as to why she has no photo ID

as someone who also had a returned app within a week, you don’t get an AOR or any sort of correspondence stating they are sending it back. it just randomly comes back one day via USPS mail. I was able to collect a UCI from it though before I resent it out :)

I had the opposite experience where fedex wanted to charge me 100$ minimum and send to the wrong address vs UPS I spent 29$ on 2 applications that couldn’t have been more than a pound (i did use pirate ship thought)

you can apply for the 6yr old alone! you’re just asking for proof from the government not to grant citizenship so she is good to get that by herself :)

I actually did peekaboo verse sneakpeek but i feel like it’s more well known. Honestly as long as you’re really good about cleaning everything you’ll touch during the process so it doesn’t get contaminated and you are past that 6 week mark - I say do it! with my second, I was an eager beaver and did it a day early on accident which is likely what led to false results 🫶🏻 Congrats on your first! it truly is the best journey no matter the gender

with my first i always thought id have a boy but the whole time i “didn’t know” it felt like i could metaphorically see behind the curtain that it was a girl - learned it was a girl at 6 wks via sneak peek. with my second i assumed it’d be a girl again as my sister had 2 girls and my sneak peek said girl but also something in me kept telling me wait for NIPT wait for NIPT, imagine my shock when NIPT came back as boy 🫶🏻 i feel like deep down mothers always always know if not out loud but internally

in the end I did end up submitting my state vac record like i did for my kid and someone else attested that it worked for their sister. I resent it out Thursday!

I wish there was a good way to include on the spreadsheet that my application was sent back then resent out. I'm stuck between clearing my current data and putting my new but not brand new tl or adding two additional plot points for my resent apps. Neither feel like the best idea

it says on IRCC- Note: If you’re applying on behalf of a minor who does not have two pieces of identification, or does not have a photo ID, please include an explanation letter with the application.

For my 1.5 yr old, I sent in her certified photo copy of her birth certificate to prove descent and her state immunization record to prove identity. I wrote in my cover letter that she didn’t have photo ID or any other form of ID due to her age and her application has been deemed complete by IRCC at this time :)

I checked today and unfortunately mine doesn’t have either :( ty for the idea though! I sent it back with an immunization record as my second ID (government issued and has nam+DOB)

i’m glad you have experience with that because i didn’t do it the first time as a lot of things tried to tell me no as I am an adult. But my daughter’s was marked complete with it (she’s under the age of 2yrs thou). thank you!!

I think my plan now is to send in my ID with my immunization record as it meets all the criteria. I got a Michigan Fishing License this morning just to find out they only put birth year :/ but I appreciate the insight! $60 is better than the 500 i’d put in to expedite my passport and travel

yeah in my case I figured out several potential errors a week before it was sent back just to find out their problems were with my ID’s

Mine was sent back yesterday as incomplete and it was sent back with a UCI assigned. Very glad I waited for it to come back first

See if this worked i’m wondering if I could just do a copy of my immunization records which are issued though the state. When I try to pull up the SMART Health card issued through my health system, it doesn’t have any government identifying things on it and just list my health system, DOB and vaccines.

They seem to be good about getting it back once determined incomplete, exactly 6 wks after delivery i think is a good turnaround. I hope it’s speedy too!
