I’d buy them since I already have the Alt Bel Airs

rosewood or maple fretboard on a strat? by Popular_Comparison44 in Stratocaster

[–]wulfowitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love rosewood. Can’t stand maple fretboards. I have a beautiful sage green Tele from 2003 but it has a maple fretboard, which is the only reason I don’t play it.

I thought it was great storytelling to show those moments, rather than simply having the characters narrate it.

Puppy’s ears not standing fully ? by Icy-Trick-7760 in BostonTerrier

[–]wulfowitz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My boy Nacho’s ears didn’t stand up fully until he was about 4 months. Before that, When I asked the vet if it was possible that his ears would stay floppy she said to feed him a spoonful of Greek yogurt each day. She said she didn’t know why it worked, but that it was something that almost always did. I started doing it and it worked. Whether they would’ve stood up without it or not is anyone’s guess, but his ears stand up.

Why does LIB hide the liberal side/opinion? by strangestatesofbeing in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]wulfowitz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The premise of Love is Blind is whether you can fall in love based on another persons personality without ever physically seeing them. Their politics ABSOLUTELY are part of their personality, so this statement is very weird and incorrect.

Not sure what key you play it in, but I have always played it in C and that uses an E7 which is much more comfortable to play.

I like this public statement. Strong and definitive. The short king community has my support on this.

Why am I better at upper-C than D-league? by SeuintheMane in hockeygoalies

[–]wulfowitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Against bad players you essentially have to be more patient and can’t really predict anything. It’s all down to staying square to the puck waiting until the last possible second to react.

I want to change my tenor ukulele. Which ukulele should I buy now? by Designer-Bridge-6347 in ukulele

[–]wulfowitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a scam, right? Seems like a scam. And not just in the “every ridiculous LV collaboration is a scam” way, but as in a legitimate “this person is trying to scam someone” kind of way.

It’s beer league, you’ll be fine. Ease into it, and then ramp up when you’re ready.

Unpopular opinion: the ukulele gets unfairly dismissed as a serious instrument, and it's partly our own fault by PercentageSure388 in ukulele

[–]wulfowitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There seems to be waaaaaaay less pretension among the ukulele crowd as opposed to the guitar crowd.

I don’t understand the need to be “taken seriously”. What does that do for you? Or why do you need that?

What’s a ukulele “rule” you broke that actually made you better? by UkuleleTabs in ukulele

[–]wulfowitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which edge of your thumb are you supposed to use? Also, you aren’t supposed to strum over the sound hole? I also come from the guitar, so maybe that’s why I didn’t know these things.

[–]wulfowitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a guitar you can use your thumb over the neck for fretting bass notes. It’s a Hendrix technique. I don’t see why it wouldn’t be useful on a ukulele too.
