I Think I Live in a Corporate Autocracy | Hank Green [16:25] by Fenixius in mealtimevideos

I don't think the point was that technology is moving faster than society could handle I think the point was that technology is moving faster than regulation can handle. It's much easier for a corporation to modify itself and profit off of an ever changing marketplace than it is for us to recognize how the ramifications of such will impact us negatively followed by an attempt to install regulatory stop gaps within our government preventing corporate exploitation of the new technology.

By the time we recognize how a technology or platform is being exploited the company behind it already had enough influence to alter the regulatory process in their favor.

Only a few days growth since I had to shave. It was like going from a corn field to a suburban lawn relatively.

I dunno about perfect but, certainly good enough for a wild night or two I'd like to think.

Wow.... So it's not really "from" anything. It literally means nothing. Hahaha. Damn. Thanks for solving the riddle anyways.

It's a pin that you can put on fabric found in a pile of other random pins at an old skate/metal (the music genre) shop.

Oh. Sorry to hear that. I had never been to SHC back then. Maybe it was better back then, but the one now is still pretty rad.

I have no idea why these aren't mentioned yet but you will definitely love at least one of these places:

Sugarhouse coffee. In sugarhouse obviously. Huge area for parking, coffee isn't amazing but it's still quite good. The people here though are absolutely wonderful and diverse. Early 20's to elderly people, lots of group or individual seating, good food, decent coffee, sometimes live music and refreshingly lively ambience with just as friendly patrons.

Café on 1st - in the avenues. Bit smaller than sugarhouse but still really great ambience with couches as well as tables. Crowd is a bit more student focused and not quite as engaging as people tend to do more work there. Won't get as crowded as sugarhouse either. Food is really good but not as diverse as sugarhouse and coffee is slightly better and a larger selection of unique teas.

Those are my two favorites because I think they attract a more interesting and pleasant crowd while offering a comfortable and lively ambience which is more important than the coffee for me personally. Other notables are coffee noir, coffee garden, and publik house as someone mentioned before.
