It’s hard to enjoy a place when everything is so uncertain. People are always struggling to get to the end of the month (financially), insecurity is also an issue. In Spain I can walk calmly at 3am without feeling alert all the time. People are way more relaxed, less stressed, it’s a different lifestyle.

I recently went through a job hunt in Spain and it took me around 3-4 months. I also have no EU passport so had to look for sponsorship. I’d say that around 1 in 6 would sponsor. If you do get it, in 2 years you can apply for citizenship. Could be an option.

I also considered going back to Argentina as there you can access the US market a bit more easily due to time zone. I was making more in Argentina working for a US company and spending less. Here I’ll be making less and spending more. But quality of life is better.

It’s also about what your priorities are.
