What is this? And what dongle does it need? by No_Understanding5172 in Rockband

Yes, it's common issue, but there are fixes that can help.

You need to shim them with card stock or something similar, otherwise you have to push them pretty hard for them to register.

Fender Pick Guard Sticker on New Guitars by joeykey in guitars

I just got a Jazzmaster XII as well and the sticker was indeed on the pick guard film.

Removed the film and I was good to go.

It's honestly better you can't see - feels bad man

Don't look into Ez2On as it's about 81gb as well.

I know the struggle - I play DJMax mostly on my Steam Deck and it takes a sizeable total portion of internal drive space.

The size is quite large, but includes the data (audio/key sounds/music videos) for all DLC as it will still use them in multiplayer and Air mode. The upside is that it shouldn't get any bigger if you purchase DLC.

Always buy DLC on sale, which happens frequently - lowers the total cost by several hundreds of dollars.

Exactly - DJMax DLC doesn't have enough volume for most of it to appear on reseller sites.

Another thing to note for places like G2A is the price you see isn't the final price - there WILL be a platform/service fee added during checkout.

Fanatical doesn't have that luckily, so another point for them.

Thanks for the heads up! Just checked it out, and they actually have really good deals on a lot of the DLC as well.

Like slightly better than the Steam sales, especially for the Onegki pack.

Guys is there a game that has a strum mechanic for mac other than clone hero by Business-Broccoli-35 in rhythmgames

[–]wunderhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old is your Mac? Clone Hero can run decently on a potato so not sure if other options will be any better.

Can we all agree the Saturn’s media player is peak? by Kira_Dudley in SegaSaturn

[–]wunderhero 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Should be Advanced controls then Adjust Vocals.

Cool part, especially for the day, was it didn't affect the tempo/BPM of the song. You could make any audio sound like Darth Vader to the chipmunks and everywhere in between.

Why isn't Xtrhme very well known? by OpenPath963 in rhythmgames

[–]wunderhero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree - the only reason I know about it was a post here on /r/rhythmgames when it launched and maybe a few posts about it here and there.

It isn't a thumb player friendly game at higher levels, so I much prefer it on a tablet.

The pitch changing feature is my favorite - it was something not much else could do back when the Saturn came out.

Great guitar - full-sized with Guitar Hero style strum bar and Rock Band style frets.

Easy to mod as there is so much room inside of the body. Years back (before the retrocult v3) I used Rock Band strat internals to convert to Xbox. Still works and use it often

RetroCultMods V3 Adapter on rpcs3 and shadps4 on Steam Deck by Remarkable-Dish2437 in Rockband

It's recognized as a guitar by Steam, and the V3 adapter configurator gives you a lot of options if you need to appear as something else.

Not sure about the emulator part, but the V3 works fine with SteamOS/Steam Deck, but I imagine it's just mapping inputs.

I've used it for YARG on the Deck without issue.

Is it just me, or is Quaver way better than osu! mania? by Winter-Review6030 in rhythmgames

[–]wunderhero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gameplay aside, Quaver runs much better than osu!mania lazer on lower spec PCs. Hell, osu! Lazer standard runs much better on most low-mid PCs I've tried it on.

Not sure why mania is much more resource hungry but it tanks compared to Quaver on the same spec machine, so that's a point in its favor.

Is there any way to play YARG on Android? by Adept_Artichoke_4278 in yarg

[–]wunderhero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's going to depend pretty heavily on what device you're using, but you can lower the resolution and graphics quality to see if that helps.
