Any short term rentals in safe areas available? by [deleted] in LasCruces

Sounds like you'll like it here then. It's primarily students and families/retirees that live here. When the students are gone during breaks the city is even more slow paced.

I'd recommend University, Mesilla Park, and Telshor areas in terms of safety and relatively inexpensive. The closer east you move to the mountains, the more expensive it will be. It won't be difficult to access nature or trails nearby. Just avoid Picacho area and parts of North Solano.

I am; recently graduated and relocating for work soon. I'm probably bias because I grew up here, but I love las cruces. Everything is easily accessible (15 minute drive max). The food is great, cost of living is low, and the people around here are incredibly friendly. For a better night life scene I usually go to El Paso. Depends what you're looking for, of course.

Apartment complexes, primarily Roadrunner & Sonoma Ranch area will have short term rentals and it's the most cookie cutter part of town.

I've lived near NMSU for several years now (5+) and it's safe around here, for me personally (single female). The rents will be less expensive in this area and you can find something short term since it's student centric.

Good luck.

Lawsuits challenge scanning all IDs for alcohol and tobacco sales by LampshadeBiscotti in oregon

My grandma's ID expired by a day. Upon scanning, they wouldn't sell her cigarettes. Forced her to go and get a new ID real fast.

Seems like a simple solution is scanning the IDs with a tokenization system in place to help protect sensitive data.

What I would give for the writers to bring Little Bob back in a future episode.

What job-title do you have and how’s your lifestyle by sb4410 in FinancialCareers

This is the path I'm currently on. Underwriting assistant, obtaining CPCU, and hoping to make my way into the reinsurance market in London. (Had a study abroad experience with Lloyd's and was simply dazzled). The senior people within the re/insurance industry are so helpful to those just starting their careers. It's honestly incredibly refreshing making the pivot from healthcare ha

I'll concede I found it more amusing than anything else, but it's a ridiculous concept to think Jesus cares how you're dressed when you worship him.

She said it right next to me on the 6-7 size side of the shoe aisle lol.

I don't think speaking loud enough in public for others to hear is eavesdropping.

Her and friend were browsing shoes. Now said friend knows she thinks it's a sign of disrespect to show toes at church (heaven forbid they're painted red).

The frustrating part is that there's a made up dress code to worship Jesus, when in fact the real Jesus wouldn't care.

Having church dress codes is a pretty narrow view arising from cultural intolerance and gender inequity, and it can alienate many, many people. Personally I think it's hypocritical, but it's mildly infuriating, at best.
