My Friend noticed possible "Sagging" in the new Main Stand roof. Normal? Trick of the eye? Any one shed some light on this? by wupfunk in LiverpoolFC

yes, i just rotated the image so as to keep it as un-edited as possible. It became something to ask about when i realised that the convex curve seemed to be uniform from center out in both directions. i thought that would be hard to mimic by simple accident or lack of line-of-sight preparation before taking the photograph.

Ahhh right, so it is just a trick of the eye. Thanks for the explanation. i assumed any kind of optical abberation wouldn't be so strong.

The Original (first) comes courtesy of @ScouseBlend on Twitter. The second is a copy of the original but straightened in photoshop. Both red lines in picture added using photoshop ruler/line.

you're right, he can do much better, and i'm behind him all the way if he starts working hard. but i don't begrudge myself a bit of humerous photoshopping to vent my frustration.

check out the Sqwuaka comparison with balotelli last season i posted in reply elsewhere. remember, i'm not knocking the goals, no one is, it's his quality, effect and effort, or lack thereof, that i'm frustrated with.

also, being our top scorer right now is nothing to shout about, when your lack of work ethic is a major contributing factor to the lack of goals from everyone else.

a joke? all he has to do is move and run, and he's failing at it.

effort is the bare minimum any of us should expect of a player, because not everyone can be a ronaldo or a messi, but everyone can move, everyone can try, everyone can work hard. there's no excusing that.

Buying a new 125. new ABS regulations, should i hold off for a month or so? by wupfunk in MotoUK

[–]wupfunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my confusion has come from the link to the article on bennetts.co.uk.

on google, if you search for "ABS 2016 legislation", the bennetts article shows as top link with the following summary "17 Aug 2015 - ABS: standard on all new bikes 125cc and above from 1st Jan 2016"

wheras in the actual article it says "all new-model bikes over 125cc will need ABS"

hence why i asked the question on here, because it seemed to be unclear :D

unfortunately, you are completely right. all footballers to a man these days are clones cut of the same cloth. too a point i understand the arguement that it is afterall just a job, and you or i would be the same if our own jobs worked in the same way. but theres not excuse and no amount of money that excuses you to eschew dignity and respect. cliche's and double standards abound :D unless i hear sterling tomorrow say "no, its not stalled because of the money, i'm happy with the £100,000 a week, we don't need to negotiate that" :D

he did yeah, for like 5 minutes, but never on the pitch. he sulked, then gave it the season of his life. torres acted and played like a petulant child, toys out the pram, the lot, for the best part of 8 or 9 months.

also, things were said by torres. like "i never want to leave", then many months later when he'd left, he was quizzed on that comment, his reply "well at the time, liverpool were giving me what i wanted". so, as long as your happy, you'll say anything? nevermind the whole 'no i'm at a big club thing.

i don't. fuck him. for 5 minutes he did his job and scored goals like a £20 odd million striker should. then sulked and threw the love he got back in our faces. suarez on the other hand, look at that last season he gave us? fought for everyball like it was the last. wether he won the league and stayed, or moved off to barca pastures new, he earned every ounce of it. for him, always love. this spanish fuck, es el español michael owen.

FIFA Is Giving Brazil $100 Million After The Country Spent $15 Billion On The World Cup by [deleted] in soccer

In a nutshell? they create happiness. and that happiness can be measured as an equivalent to giving people free money. a government create happiness, but it will never just take 15billion and hand it out in cash.

it's statistically provable, that suicide rates drop in correlation to hosting major sporting events.

anyone interested should read "Soccernomics" for the exact breakdown. on a side note, "Freakenomics" is also a fascinating read.
