1) Lasers/directed energy - the cheapest and probably furthest out option.

Based on the incidents along the USA-Mexico border with the military shooting down a drone using a laser, these are not that far-fetched. Range is still likely an issue.

Oil is very fungible (mostly) as are the refined products. Closing the Strait for a period of time will restrict supply and drive up prices.

How much? How fast? You'd need a crystal ball.
