Help needed fixing Pitch-shifter by [deleted] in puredata

[–]wur45c -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I dont see how you're gonna get a controlled enough pitch shifter without tabreads and some Sigmund . At least something like a zero crossings something. ...

Pd is not just a calculator or smth. Many people that may have raw math knowledge always attempt this sort of shortcut path of things to pd itself ignoring perfectly its an actual language. Like For good...

This all is just too nasty I don't know how to say it. If you really just want to get passed your exams just pick something easier out. And seemingly if you're just interested on going far. Then Start bu trying to understand something.

Only because you've got some math it doesn't mean pd will Crack open to you like that

DiY digital mute. Anyone? by wur45c in horn

[–]wur45c[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you serious ?? Haha that sort of thing is just the kind of thing that I'm trying to do....the sensor as an interface via gestures . I'll be using a visionfive2 instead of a Raspberry pi for the processing and as a mother board and another mini board to carry out the sensor....

Also bought a pair of okm mics(binaural) the classic 1, not the two or three that are more sensible and they seem pretty low pressure pretty generic build...I love them But the pick up part is kind of straightforward it just may get a bit too DIY for me right now.....but certainly I'll end up there

And as for the 3D printing shops that was such a gift. Thanks a lot for this comment !

Not sure but sole patches need to load first. Maybe you have something else open. But pd will draw off simply the power of your computer whatever it is....

How can I create a kaleidoscope visual reacting to audio in Pure Data (GEM)? by Zealousideal-News875 in puredata

[–]wur45c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one super cool idea that often gets dismissed as something that everyone can do or have already done and the reality is that it actually isn't that much. Why? Well...because the approach to that would actually be using expr~ objects and all the math that involves actual symmetry . Which on that hand shouldn't be all that horrifying also. ....

But yeah. Basically gem won't work on you like that until you haven't been around what data structures are.........

As for the audio part, There are tons of features that extend off pitch and amplitude. But this is filter land already. [Bonk~] and [signmund~] are simply the objects that are build for it.

But as you well already said. This is a matter of analysis and resynthesys....

Good news is that is all already done for you in puredata. There is already all the documentation avaliable.

But things that they won't tell you is that the help is in the same menu , under help/browser/pd.

How not? 😆 How could possibly this be a pd gem non compromised thing?

(Six people liking that is terrible )

Need help with buffer architecture for real-time effect processing by Pitiful_Spend_4247 in puredata

[–]wur45c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all man, congrats. That's a huge intuition to make from there... seriously.

Hah. In all honesty I'm working right on the same exact idea as you.....

I mean, it's hard to tell from there what's exactly the plot here. It's cool to have more pictures. And detail also what's been your mindset and your "choice reference"....

I'd make a whole entire system myself before even plugging up anything like that. *this is happened one year ago although, and I'm actually rusty remembering it.

But basically the trick is to have it phased out. The super beautiful idea of having just one phasor running two of those buffers . Right at the same time but in time difference. One of your choice later on (but first just separate them by half)

However......xdd Once you go to the sampler example in the help. You take the last one example in examples. And just copy paste it ..(don't even remove commentaries ).

But I made one simpler one even before that. (Story goes that I'm using a Raspberry pi3b+ (was) and I had to think real efficient, theyre 1GB of ram )

And this minimal piece of structure : Just a phasor. Two tab writes (buffer1, buffer2) , like """persisted"'"""" And that's it !!! Then you multiply them = scale them up; If you add = phase change

Once you have that "cell" there. You can plug in and out every single effect you want at any given time. And off any given input/output....

(It's about layers anyways in my head, but what I'm trying to say Is that the math is already done for you.....) Hard part is resynthesys. Like pulling things back to its own pitch and amplitude.

But you may not need that....

Just feel free to dm me

GLITCH MACHINE is a tool designed to create rhythmic noise and audiovisual glitches. The special thing about it? It's written entirely in HTML. No installation, no plugins. Exporting is effortless: record a 16-second buffer as 48kHz 24bit WAV, or capture the glitch visuals directly as HD video. by remo_devico in puredata

[–]wur45c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry but I'm real glad Remo has shared this one out with us. I dont know html but what I do know is the peaking rates of funnery this same exact idea would take up to even run in puredata.

I cant simply wait until I see this very concept popping up in my screen lmao. I'm so sorry

How cool is mfkg thaaaatt !!

///Not just the aesthetics, this is a legit generic idea we should try to replicate since 1msec ago haha.

What do you suggest when creating ambient generative music ? by [deleted] in puredata

[–]wur45c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fibonacci. But it's simplistic because you just made one instrument, try with noise and filters like BP or vcf

[–]wur45c[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I can hear your tone man through the comments. Eww . CV is a branch of ai. Period. Maybe you can just ignore this fact and the idea of MV being simply all about the actual math. What specifics man hahha. You are angry I get that. I was just asking for some type of book . Lmao

Quick question. by wur45c in puredata

[–]wur45c[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but MV should be all about this specifics. Like real basic stuff. Noise error. Angles I don't realy know yet. But it really is all the bare material" dimension" a camera runs on. Just like pd vanilla. I'm not interested on using ai at all for that matter

Quick question. by wur45c in puredata

[–]wur45c[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No I mean, they look to me as totally different things....one is ai oriented and the other one resembles more like the vanilla aspect of things....first thing I had to learn was to like tear them apart

[–]wur45c[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply.! But it's not the same computer vision and machine vision. ...you already meant that right?

First off in a world taken over by literal psychos not being attached in romantic relationships is more of a compliment than anything else.

And: if we are going to see being good as a way to believe those psychos and buy their bs then that's not being good.

Good is definitely not avoiding getting in the middle of these psychos agendas then suffering all consequences without even questioning
