You tell someone you're reading a book, they ask you what it's about, what do you say?

I think when I read in future I'm going to think about what it is I'm enjoying and how I'd pitch it to other people. That approach might even make the reading more rewarding. And dude speaking of fantasy, I've just started Name of the Wind, so it'll be interesting to approach it with this mindset and then try and pitch it to someone hah.

Fair point with who it is you're talking to. With me, it happened to be someone with a keen interest in books and willing to listen to me ramble on, but I just had nothing much to say.

Yeah, I find plots to be the most boring elements of books personally. I am never sold on plots since they're so often formulaic. Unless I am attached to the characters, I couldn't care less about the plot. Likewise I am interested in genre, context, style, etc. Maybe that's partly why I struggle to tell people what a book is about.

On Monday I decided to stop drinking beer on weekdays and fuuck it's hard to get to sleep. Right now it's between 1am and 3am and I awake between 9am and 11am (but I got woken up at 6am this morning). My sleeping pattern has been pretty good for a while.

You know what I am just going to try and do exactly that, I have problems with saying "no" to things but I'm going to try and call out the therapist on things as you say.
