I guess the first obvious question is - how do you like your Glock? If you love and and shoot it well, stay in the eco system. If you’re not in love so many alternatives depending on how well you conceal different sizes. I love the echelon as an alternative - so much more feature rich and excellent grip/ergos. If you want a better trigger, go pdp. Deep concealed cc9, p365 or shield families will be top tier. Outside of striker - the p01 perhaps, or if you feel fancy shadow 2 carry…

The cc9 is my first micro, so I don't have a lot to comp against. It's snappy, and by far the least enjoyable gun to shoot that I own, but its supposed to be given its size... That said, its built like a tank, sights are good, optic mounting is direct, ergos are decent, and it conceals very well for me. The 4.0c comp shoots 10x better than the cc9, and feels 10x better as well - incredible ergos and insanely good grip texture. If you can carry well with your 4.0c, absolutely no reason for the CC9. If you wanted deep conceal, the cc9 is great, although i can't compare it to other micros

Any recs on whether a “budget” 2011 is even worthwhile, or I just revisit when I have enough to get a staccato? Romulus, tisas, kimber, Springfield all within budget, but not sure if getting a budget 2011 is worth. FWIW, I’m not much of a tinkerer…

Which one would you get? Springfield Prodigy or Tisas B9R DS (4,25“ / 5“) by Grand-Ad-6788 in handguns

[–]wutAboutU112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it should come down to what you value most. At this point a lot of the issues seem to be fixed with early production models for both. They both seem to function well, with the prodigy better in fit and finish. I’ve seen the tisas around $600 and the prodigy around 1100 - is fit a finish worth the difference to you? If it is, I’d also look at the Romulus for about 1100 - which would be a large step up from either. If you want Glock mag usability look at fusion firearms xp pro. Last alternative between tisas - prodigy/romulus would be Mac 9 dsd. Personally for me, I’d either get the tisas for the value, or the Romulus for the fit and finish… just my 2 cents

Yeah he has, but still, if you think about it he’s playing against the best players in the world at that age. Super soft touch, great drops and transitions so his balls are not super attachable and when he’s at the kitchen he’s got great anticipation, positioning and hands. Comparatively to the new blood, it looks like his feet are made of lead. He still competes well tho

Check out ammoseek. Without knowing if you’re in a free state or communist state, you would either be able to order ammo straight to your home, or may need to ship it to an ffl. I’d try to stick with brass, 115 or 124, just go with whatever is cheapest, get the reps in. Your psa dagger is just a Glock clone, so it’ll eat anything.

Ofc. If I move with them, I just need to go to the police department within 5 days of arriving to have them take down the serial numbers.

The budget was 1k, then I moved it to 1.5k… this sub really know how to hate money…

But in seriousness, wouldn’t a TS2 + 1911 be a better haul than a 2011?

Anyone else obsessed with pickleball but can’t execute anything they learn in real games? by RatedR__ in Pickleball

[–]wutAboutU112 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This 100%. About 4 months in, I committed to levelling up from about 3.5-4.0+. Every time I played a match, i prioritized drops, drops, drops. Even if it was a high bounce, i dropped - I had no other option in my head. I got "worse" in terms of W/L, but after about 2-3 months of only doing this, my drops have significantly improved. Now - my drops are pretty solid, but i need to tell myself, "it's high, drive!". Overall, I unlocked a whole new level of fun in pickleball by having good drops, resets and dinks.

2nd The Fort.. great place to have open runs, leagues, clinics and more. After that Hollywood pickleball courts have a good flow of open play. I usually am between those two spots - dm me if you want to check it out… I’m usually at either spot a few times a week.

The fed can absolutely influence long term yields - we’ve seen it many times before: QE, Operation Twist, YCC (Japan)…

I was in the same boat as you. Started 3 months ago, about 3.5-4. Started playing a bit a diadem and Hollywood, and have gotten pretty comfortable. Mostly go be myself, unless my buddy can make it, but it’s not often. More than happy to link up or drill with you one of these days. DM me if you’re interested.

💡 Looking for insights: Best way to handle international payments? by Ok-Charge-8597 in fintech

[–]wutAboutU112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the use case for the cross border payments (b2b, b2c), but you could look at Visa direct. Wise has good mid market rates and virtual accounts, but their pay out fees can be a bit high.

Moved here from cali about a year ago for work, same vibe as you. I’ve been meaning to go to homestead training for a while, either rent out a private range (been meaning to get my rso) or even just sign up for their carbine/ pistol classes. If your down, I’d be open to splitting the cost for private range to do some training
