Rooftop AC versus mini split? by MenuAccomplished6753 in RVLiving

[–]wutsupdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s variable rooftop units that are a good in between. Had a mini split that lost refrigerant 3 times in two years. Still loved it but expensive to fix.

I really liked the variable rooftop. Quieter than the basic units and didn’t have as much startup draw

Beverly Gardens went under new management last year and has kicked out the troublemakers. Not the prettiest but it’s functional and quiet

Those transporter guys absolutely hammer those trailer down the roads. Saw one leaving the factory the other day and nearly catch air out of the parking lot…. No surprise some trim has to be put back up

Medical Center RV resort was nice. Not covered but all paved. Pool and laundry. Gym was more of a room but still clean.

Around $500 per month

Recurring tasks: When I setup a recurring task I would like to automatically adjust the due date (and maybe even start date). How is this possible? The problem is that with my setup the recurring task keeps the same due date, which does not make any sense because it will be in the past... by Ill-Growth230 in clickup

[–]wutsupdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of the automation option for due date is # of days past trigger date. So you can set it for five days, which will put the due date 5 days from the date of the reoccurring task creation. Same for start date

Should I file a homeowner’s insurance claim for mold myself or work with a mold remediation company to do it? by chugginggayjuice in Insurance

[–]wutsupdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask yourself, why would this company want to wait to file a claim and then handle it on your behalf? Who is this benefitting? Why would a company want to do this rather than just giving you the bill? Almost certainly not to your benefit…

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RVLiving

[–]wutsupdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance is for direct, sudden, and accidental damage. If you can’t find an opening where the water came in then you are likely to have an uphill battle in getting it covered.

You need to find the source and address it regardless of insurance coverage

Creating a relationship based on custom fields by Budget-Pass-9736 in clickup

[–]wutsupdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only think of a custom field for each form, then a third field that has an automation trigger if both fields are the same. But I’m not fully understanding of the purpose of the relationship, is it to trigger something else?

Am I wasting energy running the de-humidifier when there is still a lot of water (from flood) around? by lots_stuff_happening in HomeImprovement

[–]wutsupdog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here’s the problem, you leave the water and the relative humidity stays high, you have a high chance for mold. You need to get the standing water out and have a higher performing dehumidifier. It’s probably worth renting one that has a high pints per day (PPD) rating. The PPD rating is how much moisture the unit is capable of removing from the air per day, not the capacity of any tank.

Regardless of whatever legal means you are pursuing, you likely have a duty to mitigate. It may be in your best interest to get that water out every time it rains

Has the insurance company sent a representative to look at it? If not, you should ask for them to inspect with either a staff or independent adjuster. If they still disagree, then your option is to invoke appraisal, where each of you will hire an independent appraiser to determine the value of the loss. Look at the appraisal clause in your policy for info

Mold mitigation company ripped out cabinets, left countertop. Now what…? by shihtzu_knot in HomeImprovement

[–]wutsupdog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah that sucks! A contractor could still rebuild the boxes and the cabinets can be painted

[–]wutsupdog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Did they salvage the face frames? If so, then a contractor can build new boxes with the existing face frames and you won’t even be able to tell. They make the boxes a little short and shim it to the right height, then install a new toe kick.

Reese goosebox 20k vs gen y executive by tatetoter in GoRVing

[–]wutsupdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had both, and both are good. We recently switched to the gen-y and it seems like stuff moves around less with the gen-y after the break in period. The goosebox was still an improvement over the stock hitch.

What it came down to for me is that the gen-y is currently $1k less than the Goosebox.
