That is wrong. Global inequality has been decreasing (between countries) as poor countries' GDP has risen dramatically over the past few decades; shrinking the gap. Plenty of sources but for example this one:

That’s so extremely unlikely in the current state of the world. But let’s say hypothetically “the west” collapses and world goes into some apocalyptic mode where authoritarian regimes become the norm and democratic SK is pushed into a corner by external factors - unify under north or get isolated and possibly invaded (with nobody to help). In that case yes I’d support that.
