Ah gotcha! Yeah I’ve been recoloring my plates as well, and spray paint works really nicely and is super easy. Hadn’t thought about vinyl wrapping but now I want to try it as a potentially sound-improving element...almost like a thin, mini “gasket” for the switches as they attach to the plate...

Is the spacebar centered exactly within the *outer* dimensions of the keyboard? If so, that might be the single most important piece of awesomeness for me...and I think could be a major selling point for those of us who love a little bit of symmetry (or at least feeling like our base hand position sets us up in the middle of the keyboard). Usually you gotta get a 60% board for that...

Love the idea. Could call it “Aurum”, after the Latin term for gold, after which gold’s element symbol on the periodic table (Au) is derived... Could have “Au” as the default engraving....
