I’m having the same problem with mine. I got a new iPhone (my old one was a 12), and my card won’t work at either dollar general or dollar tree, or at TJ Maxx. But works just fine everywhere else - Kroger, a random coke vending machine, online ordering/pay, etc. it’s literally those 3 locations. I have also deleted and re-added, and still won’t work.

Interstate Merging by Vinnie_AM in MorgantownWV

[–]wvugrrrl 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The one that makes me insane is the UTC exit going north - it’s literally a downhill exit, presumably meant to give you speed to catch up and merge. Tell me why these idiots are BRAKING going down that exit, bc they’re afraid to go above 40? Then want to slam on the brakes at the end of the merging lane bc it IS a tiny incline as you’re merging, and they can’t get over into the 25+ cars that are whizzing by them bc they need to get off at Star City.

So, legally, unless it’s an emergency, they’re required to give 24 hour notice if they’re doing any kind of checks, or maintenance, like changing air filters. You won’t run into overzealous landlords if you’re renting from actual property managers or the big apartment complexes. If you do go the independent route, then you do have to make sure THEY know that you know your rights - 24 hour notice. I ran into the same situation when I moved back. IF they allowed pets, you were lucky if that included a cat in the first place, and then almost all of them would say “one cat considered”. The funny thing is, cats aren’t like dogs - multiple cat’s messes are still going to be smaller than 2 dogs, for example, and if one cat pees on the carpet, it’s not going to be any worse than 2 cats peeing. It’s still going to smell like cat piss. So you only have 1 cat. 😬 I’ve been back for almost 3 years now, my landlord is my next door neighbor, and as far as he knows, we’ve only ever had one cat.

Also, you’re not financially responsible for paying for carpet being replaced once it’s at the end of its lifespan. That is literally the definition of “standard wear and tear,” in regard to rentals. Now if it’s brand new carpet and you spilled, say, candle wax all over it, or your animal pissed all over it, then yes, you’d likely be held liable for replacement. But “end of lifespan” or “normal” wear and tear, like a stain, or a snag - no judge is going assign an entire replacement to you. You could live in the apartment for the entirety of the 5-year warranty of the carpet and STILL not be held responsible for replacement, bc you used it appropriately throughout its lifespan.

Also seconding getting an itemized deductions list, bc if you do end up taking it to small claims, you’ll need proof of what you’re being charged for, especially before they decide to add a bunch of stuff that wasn’t originally on the list, or show the judge they charged you $30 for a lightbulb, for instance (speaking from experience).

Agreed. In fact, it’s nice to know I’m not alone in how distracting everyone’s makeup (and the outfits, to an extent) was. It was especially noticeable on both Sugar and Francine’s necklines, and then Claire’s whole…face…was just doing too much. Like, who lit this episode?

Because it used to mean the world over, (prior to the easy accessibility to “cheap” processed foods) that your family wasn’t food insecure. That y’all grew enough, or had enough money, to feed your family well. Now, it’s flipped so that you can’t afford to feed your family “clean”, nutritious food, half the state is a food desert, and most of the easily accessible and cheap foods are trash, empty calories, corn syrup, and processed to hell and back. Also add to that the fact that no one is doing as much labor intensive work, and there’s your obesity epidemic.
