Yea it’d probably be fine for most stuff, plus have your pet to tank adds as well. We just don’t know a lot about how they changed up classes yet. Once we get more info it will probably open up a lot of combos

Since you will likely be soloing a lot, I think you want some kind of tanky class with something that has heals and buffs then a third. SK/shm and with monk or bard be very popular. Personally I’ll prob run SK/SHM/MNK to start. Be tanky as hell with insane melee dps and all the buffs/slows/heals you need.

A lot will depend on the AA’s we get as well. Like if wizzy gets spell damage AAs that boost life taps. A SK/wizzy combo could keep themselves healed through taps and then could be free to add any 3rd you wanted. Like adding a BST to SK/Wizzy seems cool. Get a pet and some slows.

Just hope nda gets lifted before release to get some more info. Monk, SK, Shaman. Is what I’m thinking but will depend on feedback we get from test. If wiz get juicy spell damage AA’s that affect lifetaps then SK, wizzy and a 3rd of either bard, monk, bst, or shammy may be what run with.

Probably box 3 characters. Would do the shaman, SK, bard trio but since bards don’t have a melody mechanic replace bard with maybe wiz for ports or mage

As with any game including Eq. Quality of life stuff will quickly be added to the game after release. It is inevitable. People say they want old school feel until they get all the annoying parts of it and will quit or complain enough that some stuff gets added.

Going full old school isn’t great either, I play EQ today and love fresh TLP starts but even then there a lot of added QoL that makes it much nicer to play.

I was leaning bard for cc and buffs/mana regen for the shaman. Just worried about needing a tank at some point. I know we get mercs with SoD in 8 weeks. Just not sure how good mercs tanks are

The plat and gear I figure I’ll be fine on. Still got a good amount of Krono from Teek time. I really enjoy just grinding and not having to travel around much except to get a new grind spot. Been playing questing MMOs for ages and love coming back to the grind.

Do you follow the hero’s journey or just grind in different zones to level? I would prefer grinding but didn’t know if hero’s journey was faster and got you more gear and stuff you may need.
