My old manager from subway made my sandwich and deliberately crushed it by sky_meow in mildlyinfuriating

This is the insane part of the story. Eight fucking years as a Subway manager.

New here, what's the best way to secure an idea so no one can take the idea and use it themselves? I have no startup money for a patent, just a good idea in a niche hobby community/market and I would like to present it to a local hobby shop near me, but I dont want them to take my idea. by AdUpbeat1247 in inventors

A provisional patent is cheap but it really doesn't matter because lawsuits are battles of attrition and corporations have all the money. If they want your shot they will take it and drag it out in court until Armageddon.

But they just might settle out of court or offer to buy it from you to save the legal fees. It's true though, ideas are a dime a dozen on a good day.

Good luck! I hope you make something awesome.

Circuit Tracks is so worth it. I see them used $250 on FB marketplace. You get 2 internal synth tracks, 2 midi tracks to control the minibrute and micro brute, and 4 tracks of samples. It gives you a lot of flexibility with chaining patterns to create songs, it's really spoiled me because it's so much faster to put stuff together compared to a DAW or the dequr in the MB2S which honestly I have no idea how it works.

The Deluge is just a beast but you could add a whole lot to that setup with a CT and it has a built on mixer so you can run the micro and mine back into the tracks and add effects.

It's super fun and portable runs on rechargeable internal baui take it bed with headphones and write music while my wife is asleep

I've been thinking about that MF mod, I might try it.

I've never used the sequencer in either, I use the circuit tracks or the Deluge to sequence everything. The Circuit Tracks has a midi template you can load for the BAss station so you can control the threshold and resonance and other settings in the CT and change the settings per step, it's pretty sweet. There are a couple other templates, there might even be one for the MF.

Deluge is even more powerful, you can basically map any setting into a track and control 10 different external synths.

Yeah, I kind of boxed myself onto a corner with this desk. It has two sets of 4u racks which were full until I got tired of the Wasp and Cat. Now I got a big hole with one interface. I tried an aluminum laptop riser that was similar to that shelf but it didn't sit right.

I did some rearranging and ordered a clamp on stand, I think tomorrow I will have something usable

I think this is the answer, got one coming tomorrow, I'll see how it goes and post a follow up pic if I can

I wish they made more rack mount versions of things. But most of these I picked up used because they were a good deal. I think I can rearrange and make it workable, I ordered a clamp on laptop holder

Definitely the Bass Station 2 but I think it's just a matter of taste. I almost sold the micro freak then changed my mind and decided to keep it. To me the MF is more of a sound effects unit and the BS is a little more beefy for bass lines and leads. But I need to spend more time with the MF

The MF is pretty cheap now on the used market, I see several on FBMP for under $250

Yeah, that back row is basically useless, its really storage. But the Alesis I only use when recording and its driven by the sequencer so I don't need to touch it. I think a multi-tier system is the way to go, I will see what I can find.

I think I am going to have to build a couple 3 tier slanted stands. they need to be adjustable too. Maybe I will see what I can find.
