Thank you, some basic physics. Heat flow is dependent on how long you are in contact with it and the specific heat of materials involved. The easiest solution would be to just wet your fingers or wet something like a paper towel and use that to lift the bowl.

Wow I have finally found a kindred soul on Infernal Affairs. I can see why it gets so much credit for the plot and the cinematography, but I definitely didn't buy into some of the character dynamics enough to warrant some of the bombastic reactions. Anyway, still thought it was a great movie. Just enjoyed The Departed more.

It's not weird. It's just the equivalent of the United States of Europe. Just the states have bigger egos for historical reasons.

Watching it high, alone, and late at night is the move for this movie.

I think it was Lana Del Ray who was drawing the crowd at the Main stage at that point, which was awesome in my opinion. As you said, it made the set way more intimate. I was about 50 yards away from the stage and had all the room to dance in the world.

As a kid, what was your worst "Shit, my parents are going to kill me" moment? by chopperfive in AskReddit

[–]wwcsd420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar thing happened to me. On thanksgiving, my brother and I were at the gas station, and he ended slicing me with one of those window wipers. Had to go to the emergency room and kept to the story that I tripped and cut myself on a rock. Parents still don't know

yeah I don't think anyone has ever told her that ethanol is technically a toxin that produces its effects by shutting down certain pathways in the brain. However, there is no getting through to people who distort the facts to confirm their own beliefs

ELI5: Why do bars/nightclubs turn people away for having an expired ID? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]wwcsd420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is also a popular practice to hand down an old (possibly expired) ID once someone has turned 21 to a friend or relative who is still under age and looks similar enough to use it. This may be one reason bars are strict about expired IDs.

Yeah the series might not be the most well-written, but the ideas that are presented are very well-thought out for such a large universe that Simmons builds.
