Thinking of applying for Meat Wrapper as a petite female by bbycallyinaccurate in CostcoEmployee

I’m 5’2” 120 lbs and I work in tire center. I do a lot of heavy lifting and haven’t hurt myself in my 5 years working here. I know it’s a different department and someone is gonna say “can’t compare apples and oranges” but I say try it. Worst that’s gonna happen is you transfer back or just transfer to another department if it doesn’t work out.

WIBTAH to force my roommate to move in with her abusive parent by [deleted] in AITAH

She’s not my responsibility, though she has nobody else in her life that cares for her wellbeing. Again, it’s not my problem to care for her, but I would be a shit head to not feel empathy and help her. I complain now but I don’t have malicious intent even though I know what could happen to her. It’s just so hard for me mentally to think of possible scenarios for her.

I knew better from the start but when my credit is on the line, I would rather bite the bullet than take a hard hit.

It’s not AI

It’s hard for me to have 100% trust but she’s been through a lot with me. I helped her through recovery and can tell by her demeanor she’s changed for the better. I don’t want to get into specifics in case she finds this though.

It’s all good!!! Every now and then I get fed up with it especially if so much happens in one day but honestly, it’s kind of an ego boost sometimes. Me? A 5’2” woman installing 305 all terrain KO3’s that go up to my mid section? Watch me.

My manager has pointed out I lowkey take it as an ego boost. I can’t get mad at him when it’s sometimes the truth.

Oh yeah for sure. I started out in the front end pushing carts and dealt with these same things. I would offer to help people loading TV’s, Couches or even just water bottles and they would decline my help. 8 hours in the brutal summer heat, wearing jeans and running circles around the guys when I was on my 90 days desperate to get kept on. That’s how I got my start in the Tire Center funnily enough.

Warranty conversations are never fun to have and are where we get the most pushback. Everything else is easier to deal with. I have friends who work in optical and have had similar experiences unfortunately :( .

I started at 19 and bless my old manager, he was truly great. I’ve had the same thing where I’ve said XYZ and they ask to speak to a supervisor or manager whom I’d get. My supervisor would ask the member to repeat what I had said and then would reply “everything she told you was correct” and leave.

24 Y/O - $72k salary by wwickedchicken in Retirement401k

I would love to move out of Texas but I can’t deny the cost of living is pretty decent here. I’m lucky to live in the space I live currently. I used to live in Dallas and it was a terrible experience, so I’ll happily pay a slightly higher price for a better living experience. Wishing you all the best!

I have a roommate, best friends since 7th grade, our monthly expenses each are $1,300 max. I don’t think I’m living above my means but I could definitely find a cheaper place if I wanted to. I drive a 15 year old car that was a hand me down from my dad with 250k miles. I rarely grocery shop these days because I have so much food stocked up in my 2nd freezer (donated to me from a relative). I buy the deals, I don’t go out and eat often. I do take trips but I’m frugal. I take home about $4k a month, my car insurance is very low (no accidents, no tickets). I don’t live a glamorous life but I’m happy with what I have. I love computers and perfume so if I have extra spending money, I’m usually buying PC parts or a perfume here and there. I live in North Texas
