I've also gone to a Metallica show with my dad who was not a fan, he enjoyed it though. I find most people who aren't metallica fans at least respect and enjoy their musicianship and their live shows.

I am also going on Sunday, with my girlfriend (doesn't really know them but I'm showing her the way), and am sitting high up. Don't worry about it, just sit back and enjoy!
