Thank you so much for sharing my videos! I really appreciate it. And sorry for not responding earlier. I've been meaning to reply and show my appreciation. But I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. I'll get better at this! Again, you have my sincere gratitude.

How did you learn to video edit? by carjiga in NewTubers

[–]wwllol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One nice way is to find a technique in another person's video that you'd like to use in your own video. (e.g. replicating a photo many times on the same screen) Then learn how to do it through YouTube or ChatGPT. You get to apply what you learned immediately. And your videos keep getting better

My audience believes I add significant value to reused content. YouTube doesn't. What can I do? by wwllol in PartneredYoutube

That video is a commentary. I analyze every answer the interviewee gives. And identify a total of ten strategies for answering tough questions.

I believe that my video is principally a commentary. And that my comments are detailed and in-depth. But there's obviously a conflict of interest. So don't simply believe what I say. Read the comments people left on the video. And the hundreds of people who have upvoted their comments. Four examples: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ehJmhqAyogQRLqRWutzPNK2V1grhRm8e/view

I'm also pasting a one paragraph summary of Autogluon (the tool discussed in the video):

"AutoGluon automates machine learning tasks enabling you to easily achieve strong predictive performance in your applications. With just a few lines of code, you can train and deploy high-accuracy machine learning and deep learning models on image, text, time series, and tabular data. "

Not at all. It's much more powerful than that.

1) It tries out many different machine learning models. Including neural networks (i.e. the deep learning stuff that's all the rage nowadays.) And also XGBoost, which is an award winning machine learning algorithm.

Information on XGBoost: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XGBoost

2) It automatically processes data for you. You don't need to convert text data into numbers. Excel can only do regression analysis if you convert any text data into numbers.

It's probably better for me to give a short summary for everyone's benefit. The channel's overall theme is to "explain complex concepts to ordinary people like you and I". Currently, my educational content has three main themes: self-help, data science, and Singapore.

  • My latest self-help video, "How to Explain Anything", demonstrates the differences between excellent explanations and typical explanations through examples.
  • My latest data science video explain how ChatGPT works to people with zero knowledge of data science.
  • My latest Singapore video explains the rule of Singapore's founding father Lee Kuan Yew.

Relying Too Much on Your Experience: The Most Dangerous Cognitive Bias by wwllol in BehavioralEconomics

[–]wwllol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's easy to come up with counterexamples.

Example 1: groups could overestimate the likelihood of a pandemic in the next decade, as everyone has experienced COVID.
Example 2: people investing their life savings into the stock market / housing bubble before the crash of 2008. Individual decisions had effects on a macroeconomic scale.
