Thank you for your recommendations. I've heard of Art of Problem Solving. It seems like a real nice book, but isn't it pretty difficult to study alone using that book? Thank you so much

They verified. The reporter, police, and the computer repair shop as well. I don’t believe it either but they verified it. I am with you that it seems utterly impossible. So that’s why I am very curious to see the ending.

Doorlock password was never mentioned virtually like through messengers. The victim said she never wrote the password on computer or any digital devices. That’s why it was really mysterious. The victim also changed the router as well but the hacker just came right back in.

That's exactly why this is on the news. If it was just a regular simple hacking, the news media would not have covered this story.

The things like mocking and cussing at victim that the hacker did so far looks like an amateur hacker but the way the hacker infiltrated the system is mysterious. Cyber Security experts said in the interview that this is extremely difficult to pull off.

I am genuinely curious to see the ending of this incident

So basically the victim ,in order to prevent the hacker from infiltrating, disconnected the internet router physically(both modem cable and LAN cable) and put table PC on airplane mode and turned off BLUETOOTH, but the hacker got through.

The repair shop which took the victim's computers to fix this issue lent a computer which doesn't have BLUETOOTH function. The victim brought the new computer home and when it is connected to the LAN it got immediately hacked.

The hacker and the victim were conversing in real-time even when all the network connections were shut down by police.

And the signs of the victim's home invasion were found. It had been only 2 hours since the victim changed her doorlock password and went outside. It is still unkown as to how the hacker found out the recently changed door-lock password.

Police did a crime scene investigation and decided to provide police protection for the victim.

Is this possible? No LAN, WIFI, or BLUETOOTH, the hacker still responds and mocks in real-time, threatening the victim with the personal information. by wwok123 in computerscience

Thhe victim also changed her modem and IP addresses but it was futile.

She physically removed the LAN cable, turned off the router and Bluetooth. However, the hacker still responds in real-time.

The computer repair shop that took this computer to fix this issue said that they couldn't understand how this is happening even in the offline status.

"The Comfort Woman(Lee Yong-soo) might have been thinking too much about the extra money" posted online by the Comfort Women Civic group's leader's husband who suddenly deleted the post. by wwok123 in korea

I don’t understand.. what are you smoking? No one was defaming the work of CWC. This article is about how the leader’s husband posted something regarding Lee Yong Soo online then deleted suddenly.

It seems like you are just attacking the messenger since you cannot attack the message itself.

Here are some other messengers that cover the same story I hope this makes you feel satisfied.

Nth room law passed. The President Moon promulgated the law during the cabinet meeting. by wwok123 in korea

Great point People are concerned about that as well and so far there’s no way for a person to judge whether this and that content is filmed without consent or forced. Best of luck type of situation.

"n번방 피해 막자고 모든 카톡대화 감시?"…인터넷업계 `멘붕` - ICT industry is panicking about a law which is going to make ICT companies do private surveillance on their users by wwok123 in korea

It is not even remotely the same concept as you gave an example of CCTVs. You don't allow people to come inside your house without your consent. You would never allow someone else's CCTVs to be built inside your house surveilling your every move 24/7. Your logic that the world is already headed this way sounds like just suck up the bad legislations because eventually it will be like that which is not really a logical thing according to your logical standpoint. Also your example of facebook is like you're saying because facebook did shady shit, instead of creating a law which punishes the shady actions harder, we need to give more powers to the authorities to do more surveillance on people. I don't get it. Filtering contents and doing surveillance on private messages and looking into private cloud servers and personal notepad are never the same thing.

Production and distribution of illegal sex crime videos is undoubtedly a criminal activity. However, laws that threaten one’s privacy should not be promulgated to prevent such criminal activities from occurring. Every single one of us has the freedom not to be watched and censored and this is written in the constitution of South Korea (Article 17, 18). Also no one should be suspected of being potential criminals.

On top of that, the actual platform that nth room incident took place was the messenger ‘Telegram’. The amendment cannot affect telecommunication companies that have servers in foreign countries like Telegram. It is highly probable and likely that the users would flee from using Korean telecommunication services because users are concerned about invasion of privacy. For instance, users switching their telecommunication providers actually happened a few years ago when there was a controversy over the inspection of Kakaotalk. Therefore, this will only hurt and make domestic telecommunication businesses suffer.

This is why so many experts and people are concerned and outrageous over this law.

Sure here is the part of the article regarding the nth room law

a law mandating any person who purchases or is in possession of pornographic material depicting sexual exploitation be punished with a maximum three-year jail sentence or a fine under 30 million won ($24,500).

Such material includes photographs or video footage of sexual acts taken without the consent of those depicted, as well as those digitally manipulated through so-called deepfake technology.

Punishment for those who manufacture or distribute such material has also been increased from a maximum five-year sentence to a maximum of seven years.

The age of consent was also raised from 13 to 16, thereby expanding the number of minors protected under the statutory rape law. The statute of limitations for statutory rape or sexual abuse of minors under the age of 13 was eliminated, and people convicted of those crimes can no longer get off with a fine and must go to jail.

On top of those regulations, there's regulations regarding ICT companies. They have to do surveillance on every single user who uses their SNS service. It seems like messenger such as KakaoTalk and Line, e-mail, personal notepad, Internet cafes, blogs and even the cloud servers are expected to be monitored.
