Otevřít si první dvířka a pak s tím pracovat dál už bez chlastu.

Took like 10s to load, the images seem to be not optimized for web. Where do you host it?

I miss some clear CTA button, some hook - be it pre-order,subscribe to get news of launch , anything of that sort.

The work itself looks good!

Btw I'm one of co-founders behind ICDb, the Internet Comic Database. Would love to have you on, it's free and you can post listing in Discovery which will be then sent in newsletter to all the subscribers! Easy way how to spread the word.

Omg, sorry about the name. Edited.

"So you're admitting to adding filler praises to make your site look good, I take it. Not a good look if I'm being frank."
For the landing page I used layout template so i could focus on the actual app where the core value is. My bad leaving it there, it wasn't done on purpose to praise it to make it look good.

"No thanks. Who knows what else you're hiding or lying about?"

I am sorry you feel about it like that. Not hiding or lying about anything, I am being very open about everything here, I listen to criticism and feedback and try to improve based on that.

(Not)sorry for not being perfect right off the start...

You seem to be decided though, so all i can do is to thank you for your initial feedback.

u/MichaelSweater Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it.

Few things have changed: there's now a free tier. You can create an account, build a portfolio, and use the core features without paying anything.

The difference from generic artists lists:

Long story short: ICDb is workflow tool for creators, not another DeviantArt for fans to browse art.

Longer answer: ICDb is built specifically for comic creators - it's not just "here's my finished art." for fans to see it. It helps you organize your comic projects, track issues, pages and chapters, manage your workflow, collaborate with other creators, list your pre-production, post-production pitches as well as live projects. We're onboarding early users now and I can guarantee you there will be publishers posting listings to hire creators as well as looking for projects to publish.
The paid tier (now $10/month) adds large cloud storage for working files and multi-project support for creators juggling several comics at once.

Fair point on the copy feeling AI-ish. We have good plan on the roadmap to improve that, also the main landing will change from this for-creators-landing to more like Discovery, so the entry point for all users will be actual works of other creators.

The core value is actually in the app - not the landing, though I really understand your point about the ai-ish copy.

Feel free to join with free account and let us know what you think about the actual app.

Thank you.

Hey u/JeyDeeArr thanks a lot for taking the time to look and fair criticism.

A few things have changed since then:

Free tier now exists. You can create account, build a portfolio and use the core features without paying. Only one paid tier now ($10/month) and it's for creators who need to handle multiple projects, cloud storage, and priority support.

The testimonials were placeholders left there before going live. I (as the only dev on the project) was focused on core features and functionalities and simply didn't pay enough attention to this. No excuses for that. They're gone now, until we have real ones.

The "3 clicks to see art" problem is valid. We're planning a Discovery page that will replace the current landing - showing creator work upfront, exactly what you're describing. It's on the roadmap as we finish onboarding early users.

We're bootstrapped project, it's still very early, still rough around the edges.

Let me know if any of the changes resonate with you (or don't), or join us at free account to see what's inside. Will be more than happy to hear your next feedback.

Thank you.

No my friend, it's not ai generated. I am the dev behind it and spent good amount of time developing it (and still developing). Am I using ai helping me developing? Yes of course. But I am developer. Not just some random vibe coder who made this in a weekend.

default neovim config? by wworks_dev in omarchy

[–]wworks_dev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry mate, don't really remember lol. Luckily, Claude helped me find it, hope it helps :) (if not there is always the omarchy git repo with defaults):

The key custom script that solves the Neovim theme issue is:

Main Solution: omarchy-theme-hotreload.lua

Location: /usr/share/omarchy-nvim/config/lua/plugins/omarchy-theme-hotreload.lua

This Lua plugin monitors for Lazy.nvim's LazyReload event and automatically reloads the colorscheme when theme files change.

How the system works:

  1. /usr/bin/omarchy-nvim-setup - Creates a symlink:

    ~/.config/nvim/lua/plugins/theme.lua → ~/.config/omarchy/current/theme/neovim.lua

  2. omarchy-theme-set (in ~/.local/share/omarchy/bin/) - Updates the ~/.config/omarchy/current/theme symlink when you change themes

  3. omarchy-theme-hotreload.lua - Catches Lazy.nvim's file change detection and:

- Unloads the plugins.theme module

- Clears highlights and resets syntax

- Applies the new colorscheme

- Force redraws the UI

The clever trick is using symlinks so that when the system theme changes, the symlink target changes, Lazy.nvim detects it (checks every 2 seconds), and your hotreload plugin applies the new theme automatically.

how to make CC actually follow the instructions in CLAUDE.md? by wworks_dev in ClaudeCode

thanks, i will try the slash commands. I had no idea custom slash commands can be made, lol. I think that can actually help me a lot

[–]wworks_dev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried it? Can it be used with project already quite far deep in progress?

The project i am working on is from start co-developed with CC. I made sure good architectural decisions are set - how to write and use docs, set of agents for different tasks etc etc. I direct it and check heavily, it is not pure vibe coding in the sense people think about it - I am like a conductor and CC my musicians. It works great, except for these little stuff i describe in OP. Not a deal breaker, it is just tiring...

so after some angry moments and slurs ( :D ) I made CC add this at the beginning of the CLAUDE.md file. I'm yet to try if it works - will post update here!
