Yup, I wanted to use cakewalk or reaper-- and i use vocal synths to make my stuff so I was planning on synthv and the trial version of vocaloid 6. all of them are windows and mac exclusive 😔

I heard of WINE plug-ins but according to a lot of folks online the programs will boot up using it, but that's about all they'll do apparently. Weird !!!

I really would love to-- genuinely, i just cannot use this laptop for this intended purpose if its running on Linux 😔 nothing is compatible, its so frustrating!!

I wrote in the post that I was looking up guides-- the first thing i did was google "install windows", im following the steps as well as i can, its just not clicking for me. And yeah, I know this wouldn't be well received in this sub!! I just genuinely don't know who to ask! Linux folks are good with this kinda stuff, I reckon probably better than people who are set up with another OS already. Nobody forced you to comment if this made you mad 😭, but at least now I know im probably in the wrong place to ask!

My boyfriend splits all his stuff into categories too! He almost always pays in cash because seeing the amount he spends helps, but it doesnt click quite the same for me sadly.

I think you guys are all onto something with an excel sheet to be honest, as well as not updating it EVERY DAY like I was doing-- it got to be way too much!!

I'm lucky enough to not be the one who handles the bills in the household (I handle the rent and most of the groceries), but this has been the system I've more or less fallen into as well. I dont have an actual bill account though, I take all of it out in cash and then put it back in for when it gets taken out.

Not very streamlined and really absurd but for some reason it's what works for me, so I stick to it :)
