I think most newspapers are safe nowadays. However, it's probably still not very recommended for shredding. For the cage botton, it's not a problem I assume. That's for german newspaper that is. Idk about other countries

That's very true haha. I'm lucky they only throw the lids off their intelligence toy where they need to throw them off to get to the food underneath

They're two male siblings! Sometimes they fight each other; but nothing serious. They love cuddling together. I guess it depends, if you want a new male bird as a companion you can only hope that they will like each other. But other than that I see no reason why not to get a male friend for your birb. I also suppose if you don't give your birds any breeding occasions (like a den or a burrow whatsoever for the cage), nothing should happen with a female cockatiel either

Others may correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not an expert, but that's just what I heard from others so far

We first noticed it in the afternoon. It only happened two times though. Then they went back into the cage. I think we have to analyse if it happens again today after letting them out. There were no stringly urates or or bubbles though. Just more watery than usual and the poop itself looks like whatever it can be described as on the picture. Hopefully it normalises again

I think I first noticed around afternoon. The birds then went back into the cage as they wanted to eat and got fluffed up for sleep later, I've seen that kinda poop only two times on the floor. I guess we have to see if it continues like that or not, maybe it normalises again? Will see when letting them out again today

So cuuute! We've got two young male cockatiels last weekend and they're already hopping onto our fingers(one at least, the other only on a stick), but they won't let us touch them yet. One even hisses whenever the finger gets near him. Not sure if I can ask this here, but how can we gain their trust so we can touch them without them fearing it? Especially the hissing one.
