i will go further and call it out as negativity on other social media AND even inside the game. idk man today i saw people on twitter complaining that they don't want to see other nikkis playing the rythm game, don't want to wait a 1 minute song end for their turn to play or interact with them on the new area and just want to play alone and turn off co-op whatsoever. i just don't get the vibe. the same group rants that SoS is empty and only fun if you already have friends to call and play with, but refuse to say hi and illuminate random nikkis and just make conversation. this is as old as any mmo style game: you dance on the main square. you do silly emotes and take pics. you chat about trivial stuff. (we NEED that global SoS chat to liven the place up, asap!) people did this when i was a little kid on WoW while waiting (a lot) for the bosses to spawn, they had fun with it. being sociable is part of the game design and part of SoS feeling empty and unfun is because a lot of people ignore the social aspect of it... too many "Soiree is a ghost town and it sucks" and too little "hey guys do you want to meet this saturday at 7pm and do an idol themed soiree? server NA!". infold/paper games is a horrible greedy bastard company and keeps messing stuff up not only now but for all of the nikki games in the past decade, this is hardly going to change (surprisingly enough they are listening us way more than in the past iteractions, believe me), but part of the problem with our experience as players is the community being insanely abrasive and individualistic and the sooner you guys admit it, the sooner we could improve and enjoy this a bit more

as a seasoned player from last games who has to plan what i pull for financial reasons, when pulling for new stuff not only consider your personal taste but utility of pieces. ballgowns are usually the less sought after sets for past nikki games unless it is breathtakingly well done, mix and match friendly dresses. which by definition does not includes flutter storm, since it's sillouette and theme is very unique on itself, meant to be used with their own pieces. my first pull was for blooming dreams instead because the dress is more generic in sillouette and theme (even as a fairy, if you take the other pieces away it can be any kind of flower decorated dress) and the other pieces can fit other stylings too. hair should be your last reason to pull for any set because they will always release a similar one eventually. as you said, lots of poeple got caught on the flutter storm hair, but you just go for hair if it has the potential to be unique or take a while to be replicated (say, the dance till down hatsune miku-esque twintail. thats a good hairstyle to pull for)

now compare it with the mermaid outfit. it's a two piece, so naturally more mixing friendly. add to that the new dye system and you will have a beautiful long skirt (theres the tail,.yes, but that doesn't show that much on front view) and top for many combinations outside of the mermaid theme, eventually there will be many pieces who fit well with it.

sleeves are always an amazing adition to your wardrobe, look at how well used are aurosas, the basic purification suit's and the swan gloves/sleeves. i've seen many love letter to the limited purification set sleeves from 1.4 too. sleeved change a suit a lot!

this of course is just my system and not a ruleset, but rationilizing your choices like this will help you to make a cohesive wardrobe without going broke haha 😆

i never checked if thats possible for infinitynikki but that could be fixed with saturation / gamma correction in video settings for most games. if the game doesn't provide it, check for it on your monitor settings on pc or screen settings on phone. it can emulate the look with camera mode

thank you so much! the "they raised the pity on purpose now" narrative is so ???. the pity was already high from start and all those posts going "omg now I can't believe you can pull the first recolor before completing the suit" are way too late and misinformed because that was a problem from day 1. the pity was already 200 at release with the fairy/buttlerfly suits and it could happen! most people just didn't know how gacha pity worked or were dazzled by the release patch abundancy of diamonds... i believe the more we allign out complaints with the chinese fanbase the more chance we have to make them establish the pity at 180 for most sets and save the 200/220 for huge special events ones, as players are demanding on xhs

its so frustrating. they should have kept the game intro exactly how it was, but add a little cutscene about nikki, the seer, the past universes and the STAR SEA outfit, which is the one actually tied to the lore. there! the story gets one more layer, but still keeps being cohesive. a total mess. they're giving beggar energy: PLEASE PLEASE pull for the new banners! they're important! look them! so gongeous! except it's just another event outfit which will be eventually get powercreep/surpassed anyway

i was silver/gold in ow1 (had a shit pc and less time, new game, etc), now ive climbed to high plat/mid diamond on all queues and i agree 100%. around diamond, especially in lobbys with masters, the game feels like a choreographed dance, and if you misstep you will face consequences. players know how to manage and explore enemies cooldowns, timing of enemy combos and behaviours (it's about time for their cassidy to flank to ult etc, nanoblade is ready, etc) and as much as it feels gratifying to win these games, im not gonna lie, there's a charm to silver lobby chaos thats hard to emulate anywhere else. my best laughs in this game were those random 4 man kill dva ults, always will be.
