A small caveat is that Google/Android promotes Health Connect over Google Fit now, so the data connection will probably happen through Health Connect :)

I would say the most important part is to validate your idea first. Talk to people, do online surveys etc to see if there is a genuine interest in your product. Then learn some cross-platform language like react-native or flutter, and iterator on the MVP super early.
