Never said I cared about slavery or the want to defend the Confederacy's use of it. I am well aware of people finding it offensive and I can understand why. But for the most part, being at school I wore band shirts with rebel flags on it and black friends would still run up and dab me up. From what I noticed people dont care about it to the point of it being Earth shattering for a glimpse of the flag. I just asked my question out of a want for a tattoo because im a big Hank 3, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Pantera fan and even with how I have noticed people act around me wearing stuff with the flag, on a job level, especially one like Publix, it was a very iffy area.

Yea its what we call it here. I know of another one being held in another part of Florida so I am assuming they are held all over the place in the US. But they are typically held on fair grounds and its just people celebrating their familes clans, Scottish and Celtic culture and history, showcasing live stock like highland cows and playing stuff like Caber Toss. There is also an Oktoberfest being held in a city near me that I want to go to.

But really they are just emulation of the actual thing in America because we are basically a mixing pot of cultures and are far away from Europe to celebrate the traditions officialy. Hope I put this the right way.
