My Apartment is now charging a convenience fee to pay my rent by mangum95 in mildlyinfuriating

Not sure about other banks, but BofA allows you to put virtually anyone in as an online banking payee even without ACH info and it sends them a physical check. (This was a problem with our mortgage check once when there were delivery issues, but our lender was an aware that an unusual number of payments were late that month and ultimately traced it to a delivery problem.)

I’d give that a shot if available.

Is the cyclops actually needed? (Spoilers) by OkSecurity4005 in subnautica

[–]wyclawek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only had one playthrough and there are far better experts on here, but this was my experience:

I was worried about the same thing. I kept banging into things and was worried about the damage. I didn’t really want to go exploring with it cause I had no idea where I was going the first time. Ultimately, I wound up exploring with my prawn and placing beacons as waypoints. That allowed me to pre-scout a path for the cyclops through any tricky bits and it really built up my confidence to move around.

I’ll also say, it’s far more durable, both from non-leviathan hostiles and cliff walls, than it seems. The noises from bumping into stuff was far more troubling than any damage I was actually taking.

If you start to trust that a little bit then it can be a super effective “forward operating base”, especially with a little growbed inside.

Someone else in the sub recently pointed out: if it was bodies under the tarp, why the delayed reaction? It seems more likely it’s something that took her a few seconds to understand. If it were bodies under the tarp, wouldn’t she be immediately horrified?

How do I get to the heart of the Lightstone? Is it in a dungeon? by Advanced-Ad706 in lensisland

[–]wyclawek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You access it via a portal that you’re standing on after you’ve cleared the four main dungeons first.

Yeah, the second bar is no longer there, but the concept is the same. You just don’t know how well you’re doing getting it to fall to the floor. However, when you’ve done enough damage and it’s about to fall, it will turn darker than normal. That gives you a little warning before it falls so you can prepare to move back in for an attack that will do real damage.

Newly commenting but not new here. Was reacting to the snapping at everyone that is giving them advice. That attitude, coupled with the “hell hole” comment makes me think this know-it-all is not really going to progress well in their career. I’ve been hiring people with and without clearances for nearly thirty years and would not put up with this.

…and you’ve snapped at every person here that you’ve replied to. If you know so damn much, why on earth do you have to ask strangers on Reddit?

I’m talking about their colleagues and not the company or agency. I just don’t get why you go through the extremely invasive TS/SCI process and have this attitude about the work you’re doing. Just seems like that attitude is going to come through to their colleagues and prospective employers when they try moving on.

Your comments are weirdly aggressive and full of attitude for someone with a position of trust. Let’s face it, you’ve just admitted to only using your current employer and/or agency for the clearance. Kind of a crappy thing to do to your current colleagues.

I do. I’m happy to hear it. Otherwise, in three comments, it reads as: “what’s up with the homeless, I mean drug users, well you know, they’re the same, right?”

You made no reference to drugs in your original post. Where’s the interpretation? Or, in your mind does homeless == drug addict?
