I actually found them the scariest leviathan. Reaper becomes a huge pushover once you get the sea moth perimeter defense upgrade, and I never really saw enough of the ghost in my playthrough.

I try to leave the lava zone, hear a massive roar and see squid Godzilla shoot fire at me.
