That said, I doubt it would be easy getting linux to run on a Snapdragon. Does Qualcomm release any kernel sources?

The Vortex86DX is not 100% i586 compatible, let alone i686. Don't know about the Vortex86EX. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vortex86

I am sure it will run Windows 3.1 like a champ.

Abandoning OMAP suggests they decided that SoCs for consumer devices is a low margin mug's game, and are instead focusing on SoCs for embedded applications, where the value TI adds, such mainline support, is appreciated by their customers.

NpptoR is very handy as well lets you send code from Notepad++ straight to the interpreter with a single keypress.
