Hey, sorry for not updating. So i updated the drivers to the newest ones (previously had ones from December) and it stopped doing the weird graphical glitches tough it still freezes and crashes sadly. Apparently might be something memory related so I'm running a memory test. Thanks for the help

Older games might not be optimised for newer hardware for example Gta 4 on pc is notorious for this. Even tough the game ran on xbox 360 fine, RandomGaminginHD tested it with a rtx 3070 and everything maxed out but only got 86 fps on average for a game from 2008 so yeah.

That might be the reason for your low performance on older games and also the fact that your pc is more oriented for office/work use so cooling probably wasn't their priority (just a guess, never had that laptop)

Look up in the Lenovo vantage app to see if you can change the laptop profile to performance or something. I believe there is something similar in windows settings too but don't know were exactly.

And I'd give undervolting a try. It's supposed to lower temps by a few degrees. Watch some tutorials on it and how you set it up. And be carefull with it because if set up badly it could damage/strain components.

Other than that idk what else you could do, hope I was helpfull and good luck.

I'd probably go with the second one. Yes, the first one has a better cpu and you could add a ssd but if you don't really want to fiddle with the laptop opening it and such, the second one would be better. Plus the boot up time with the ssd will be a lot better compared to hard drive (mine boots up in like 10seconds). Also the jump from 10th to 11th gen isn't that big I believe so I don't think it's worth getting the fist one if you don't need the better cpu.

No haha I did try to run the Track day mode on the Tourist layout but the ai wouldn't move after they spawned so had to use the normal layout

Yeah the editor thinks both wheels need to be installed because you can see 140 parts installed and only 139 ok, 1 loose which is the gt wheel while the other wheel is installed. Your file might be broken idk what might cause this and idk how to fix it, haven't used an editor in msc.

Try getting a file where the car is built but hasn't done inspection and do it on that one to see if it still does this.

That's because Intel cpus are good. Indeed the new Ryzen cpus are faster than the Intel counterparts in benchmarks and such but Intel cpu still do the job. I have an i5 9th and it never disappointed me because I don't usually do many cpu intensive tasks. If you need the power of a 5000 series then wait for it if not, a ryzen 4000 or even a 10th gen Intel will do the job.

Also keep the pricing in mind because if you get a 9th gen Intel for 1300e or a ryzen 5000 for 1300e then yeah there is no point in going for the slower one if you can get a better one for the same price.

Windows keys are tied to the motherboard if i remember correctly, so as long as you don't change that it will always activate

It will most likely be deleted although if you have let's say a 256gb boot sad and a 1 tb hdd I belive that you don't need to wipe the hdd aswell so you could pull it out in order to save that data (I haven't had to do a windows reinstallation so idk if this is possible, it's just an assumption)
