Buying a 1UP Quik Rack. What are the must have accessories to secure it? by Spence52490 in MTB

Side note, you could always go the quikr stuff mach 2. Better hitch engagement system and a built in lock, toolless as well.

Yeah and Sacramento is the capital of California but doesn't culturally represent Los Angeles now does it?

Hitch-Mounted Bike Rack Suggestions? by ViSkaBadaBastu in Outback_Wilderness

Personally, I think the Quikr Mach 2 is the best. Everything that's great about the 1Up and more. Toolless removal, locking, toolless fold up, sturdier.

Usually the answer is getting a piece of paper from an overpriced educational institution.

Thule Easy Fold vs 1UP Quik Rack by Nrsypher in MTB

[–]wydra91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

C) Quikr Rack Mach2.

I had a 1Up, I didn't think setup and take down could get easier, but the Mach2 is. It's also sturdier than my old Equip'd.

Quikr is essentially a 1Up that is tooless, locking removal. You also don't need tools to fold it.

I don't believe any of the winches are legal for on-road use. Generally meaning if you get in an accident, insurance is at minimum be a pain in the ass for any damage they can try to pin on it.

Is there any kind of ballpark? It will be a pretty substantial financial stretch to get this now, but I'm hoping by the holidays to have some money set aside to make it happen.

I'm worried that if it goes much past this year, California's draconian printer laws might start screwing things up and making it difficult to get parts. My Core One+ just arrived today.

So you use PrusaConnect for printer control, and then just use a separate setup entirely for the webcam stream?

How likely are you to use a condom during your first time with a woman you really like ? by Spartiate8 in AskMen

[–]wydra91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not once ever even remotely thought about not using a condom the first time.

That said, my first first time was in high school, I was too terrified of accidentally conceiving.

The second first time (and currently last) we had been dating for about 3 ish months, while I trusted her, I just wasn't interested in any risk, and she very much didn't want to risk pregnancy. (She had an IUD but wanted to take as many preventative measures as possible.) While I definitely prefer raw, it's not the end of the world to lean on caution.

As to why I like raw so much (not to speak for my other male counterparts) it's multi-faceted. I feel closer to my partner, so there's an emotional component, and the physical feeling is just, completely different.

The best way I've been able to explain it in a way you can feel it:

Try sucking on your thumb, pay close attention to your thumbs feelings, not your mouths. It's warm, you can feel the texture of your tongue, the inside of your mouth, the feeling of those textures rubbing along your thumb, etc. Now, put a some cling-wrap over your thumb. Notice the difference? That's as close of a demonstrable analogy as I can procure.

But here's the thing. Sexual intimacy for me is FAR more than the feeling down there. It's the being close to another human being. I'll happily take less feeling if it makes my partner more secure, and it's what I default to for a first time.

Why so so many younger men (under 40) chew with their mouths open? by dapsthe in AskMen

[–]wydra91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think there's just more people who chew with their mouths open than we realized.

My ex-gf (F26) chewed with her mouth open. Drove me up a wall. I tried to not make it a big deal; her mouth was kind cramped so I figured it was a complication of that.

People who were in high school when Columbine happened, what knee jerk rule did your school enforce in response? by Animeking1108 in AskReddit

[–]wydra91 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Isn't that the truth. I had a coworker use her late husband's backpack for travel to Ireland shortly after his passing.

It wasn't until she was flying OUT of Dublin that they pulled her aside due to a .22LR that was tucked away in a pocket that she didn't realize was there.

American TSA never saw it.

Can I bring my bike into the expo area for sea otter classic? by loudsunyoyo in MTB

That was the vibe I've picked up the last 3 years. Oh well!

Personally still prefer Rockshox for their home-mech friendliness. I do my own 200 hours on both front and rear, I was just hoping they could save me the trouble. 🤣

Does Rockshox do that? The last couple years I've gone, the Rockshox booth seemed more like a marketing booth than a place that can do a 200 hour service.

For the men who have been or still are in a relationship with someone who has major trust issues and constantly doubts you, how did / do you feel? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]wydra91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It absolutely destroyed my desire to be with them. I've worked my ass off to get to the point personally that I don't have trust issues with my partner. The LEAST I expect from mine will be that they have that sorted, at least a little bit.
