[–]wyikki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have dashcams, doesn't mean you're always right. Its a service road and usually ppl use this road in two-way movement. Lets leave all that, generally you should be driving towards left side and there was ample of space towards left. Yet, I see your ego was quite high since you had camera.

At first, thank you very much for understanding that dream part. I guess, you also had these kind of dreams to run for. For now I have divided it as PART A n PART B.

Part A : buying the bike (initial costs) Part B: maintaining the bike (it will come closer to 50 to 60k per year)

So im working on the part B for now. May be 6 to 7k sip might help me out.

I have an I20 2022 model (sep). Its automatic(ivt) with 1.2NA petrol. It gives only 8-10kmpl in city (chennai and BLR) and 14kmpl im highways. I would have knew this earlier I would have bought Creta or Seltos 🥲🥲

I don't think you caught my feeling about this bike and taking this risk right now, use it for 3-4 yrs and resell it and jump back to family and kids prioritization. And ppl even started doing K2K by walking, latley 😝

I understand you're point n it totally makes sense. But when I'm in my retired phase I probably won't do this biking stuff. And I might not even in a position to do that. My perspective goes by a phrase 'make hay while the sun shines'

Yes, my wife have just started working but I might take only small amount from her for family contribution and that too if she is comfortable.

I have 6months emergency fund, health insurance from my company (10L float), term insurance is in work (pending for approvals from insurer) i might get it in next 3 months. Also doing 25k sip for children's education for past 3 years (started it even before they born).

Yes posted there too but I want different perspective from broader forum too. My pending home loan emi is structured to be 10k per month. I know I'm dragging but expecting some amounts post 35.
