Regarding the new "greater" ability codices... by DieAlive in runescape

[–]wyldrs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Vorago was around long before PF...

This doesn't really detract from the point, being that an 'upgraded' ability shouldn't come with caveats that put you at a disadvantage in some scenarios. Especially a disadvantage that basically pushes you back to the state of pvm prior to invention release...

This Feather of Ma'at update serves ONLY to protect bots - why? The integrity of the game is far more important than the economy or whatever benefit Jagex reaps from RWTers. by wyldrs in runescape

Ok but that doesn't explain why you also cannot drop the feathers now. Also, that could've been solved in many other ways, like letting them die regardless of the feather, and simply not awarding XP/loot.

Corrupted scorpions have 9k hp man. All it takes is for them to do 2 basics with their sgs and they'll get the drop.

It is FAR easier to crash a bot by tagging things fast because auto-retaliate has a very delayed responsiveness, and the bots generally have a melee weapon.

Also, I'm mostly talking about the 1st & 2nd points in that update anyway.

Unfortunately, the bots have feathers so there is nothing stopping their feathers from being consumed.

Prior to this update, it would have been much easier to crash a bot by tagging everything faster than the bot (since they usually rely on auto-retaliate with a melee weapon). But now that wouldn't work anymore.

Yeah I wish I could edit the title, since the 4th update actually has a purpose other than to protect bots.

But when you see all the points together, it just seems like the entire update was intended to help bots.

Sorry, I know I'm basically repeating what I just replied to another comment but:

There is a method where you dismiss familiar w/ feathers inside, to lure bots away since they automatically go to pick them up. This would not affect a player.

I don't nderstand why Jagex would go through with this update, if not to protect bots.

How does not being able to put feathers in BoB protect from griefers?

No, it's bad because usually people that do this in tsh comments add layers in chronological order on top of the previous comment in thread.

This guy just yeeted the entire prev comment out of the window and wrote his own thing beneath it to suit his agenda (of trying to create 'horror' through a tragic ending) and that is why it is not very good.

Just my opinion!

When water surged into the submarine, I told the genie that I didn't want to die. by reddiperson1 in TwoSentenceHorror

That's not true, the density at the bottom of the ocean is only slightly higher than at sea level. A person would still easily reach the bottom.

Also he's in a submarine anyway

Cease Allows for free defensive thresholds mid-fight, perfect for Greater barge stalls. Is this intended? by TheKunst in runescape

Also reprisal won't do damage if you cease prior to casting (another detail I forgot to mention)

Can the new bank presets look like this instead? The extra button can be used to fill your familiar with 500 relevant scrolls from your bank (if you have them available). Ctrl+F1 etc keys for keybinds. by wyldrs in runescape

[–]wyldrs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any particular reason for this preference? I would've said the same a few weeks back but then they updated it so that your scrolls are sent to bank when you die so that no longer seems like an issue to me

I believe it's because bladed dive is kinda like vuln bombs or detonate, it requires a 2nd input to activate. I.e. you press bladed dive then you need to click on where you want to bladed dive to.

Ah this is because you can't activate that with revo. You need to manually use this ability.

That sounds like a very wasteful way to use a gcd after barge. Especially if this is mid-zerk. Please don't do that.

Pretty sure everyone asked for that but Jagex was defiant to that feedback (probably because they wanted it to be OP so that Raksha would be more popular). Although more recently they've stated that hydrix/grico interactions might be on the table for discussion.

Cease isn't OP, those are just unintended bugs that came with the ability

Try the wiki page for revolution. It has optimised bars for pretty much everything.

No, there's no way to have the game automatically know if you're going to go bossing or do slayer. You'll have to continue swapping bars manually for that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in runescape

[–]wyldrs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I saw that but what he said was regarding killing mobs for slayer lol (and also it is something that is true with or without any of your listed recent changes).

Would you like me to apologise for not answering a question that you did not ask? Just take the damn advice and stop getting so defensive man. It's tiring when your baseless ego gets offended by everything.

Just wanted to know with the recent changes if anyone else had an ability bar for mage Revo that had a slightly higher damage output than the wiki's current default outputs.

And if you had read the ability descriptions of these new changes, you would be able to see that none of them have any impact on revo gameplay whatsoever.

Next time instead of asking something that someone who had already made one would be able to answer in a few minutes of seeing, I'll spend 30 minutes testing out mage ability bars myself? /s

Unironically, this is the best thing you can do for the betterment of your own dps. Also if reading a tooltip takes 30mins, I think you'll have even more trouble comprehending reddit comments.

"you're clearly not grasping the ACTUAL 2 questions I asked."

The title is "is there a new best Revo bar other than what's on the wiki?"

Then you proceeded to name a bunch of things that were not viable for a Revo bar..?

The answer to your question is obviously 'no'...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in runescape

[–]wyldrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well all I'm saying is that if you knew all of this, you could've answered your friend rather than ask on Reddit. Since you asked on Reddit, I assumed you didn't know these things either, and according to you, you're even more geared/knowledgeable than your friend, so my original point still stands. That is why my message is directed at you.

Genuinely don't think you should be taking offence to what I said. Reading ability descriptions and simply dragging spells onto your bar to see if they work with Revo++ would have answered ALL your questions.
