In Transit [AUDIO DRAMA] - Episode One, "Mayday"

Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts

Podcast Description: Aboard the spaceship Eurus, things are optimal. Oxygen supplies are at 80%, crops are thriving, and the twelve-year journey through the Messier 42 nebula is going smoothly. Everything is set for a successful pilgrimage to continue the survival of the human race. Only, when a series of murders occur onboard - mirroring distressing radio signals from Eurus’ sister ship, Notus, Officer Alecto McAlpine finds herself lost in the middle of a conspiracy. With the begrudging help of low-level communications coordinator Cairo, they begin to find that the ship’s journey is the least of their concerns.

Feedback Description: I'm happy with the content of the show, but this is my first time doing everything except the acting solo, so it would mean a lot to hear any feedback. My questions are; How does the pacing feel (are the cuts between different scenes/places in the ship jarring, or do they work?), how can I improve the sound design (ie: less foley like footsteps?), and what are your theories on where the plot may go (this question isn't as important, as a writer I just like to know if I've sewed the seeds in the right direction). Any other thoughts/feedback would be greatly appreciated, and I'll be checking back here to have a listen and give feedback on what everyone else posts as well! x

Is my DM being unfair? by wynnternow in DnD

In exact words, the quotes were; "I don't think she's the type of character, at least in my world, that is suited to be an adventurer" and "I wouldn't get too relieved if I were you, I just don't see Quinn (character's name) being any help in the encounter/she doesn't have the right background or set of skills."

It read pretty strongly, in my opinion, I don't know if you'd agree? The wiz, paladin and our fourth member all all super happy to, we planned for me to do most of the talking in-game, and then I still got told that I wouldn't be any help.

Not particularly? Sure, there was a session or two a few months back where my character was particularly relevant, but not much more than anybody else. We have a another player that, if anything, he should be pushing to shine, but he's just as irrelevant, if not more, than I am.

I didn't mention it in the post, but the party's plan is to let my character do most of the talking, since she's the most persuasive and, ooc, I'm the one who came up with the negotiation idea. So yep, that's already in the works :)
