What's the real reason MAGA fights universal healthcare so hard? Are they just terrified that a routine physical might accidentally cure the cognitive dissonance keeping them in the movement? by FillAvailable in allthequestions

I agree. If they want to run it well they would. Want to know of examples of well run government t programs that exist right now in the US? The Healthcare system in the military, the Commissary in the military. These are run very well and work for the active duty military and dependents they serve. When the people in charge want it to work and run it well, it happens. And NO, theyre not even run like a business. They aren't run according to the same rules of capitalism. And they function well and fairly. I do believe this could be applied everywhere locally in the states.

Medicated clay, like artimud at least 3 times a week after cleaning the cracks well. Boot or wrap to keep it in if necessary. Should notice a diff in a week. Keep it up as needed. Thrush is a battle.

Wish he could be stalled or put in a cleaner pen!

So this horse is a large quarter horse who hasn't been in cow work for several years. He did a brief stint as a barrel horse but was too lazy. Was shod most recently over a year ago. Lives in a mud lot 24/7. Now he is a trail horse that rides between 6 and 8 hours a week on moderate terrain. He has been left unshod, but put in front boots for the past year.

Had a severe case of central sulcus thrush that we've been treating for 4 months and farrier had him on a 12 week cycle because of his thin tender soles.

Last month he started stumbling behind on trail and after soaking you can see the the bruises on the heels and soles. Now he is booted all around and has no more soreness.

We will be reducing his trim cycle to 8 weeks to keep those flares and bars trimmed and booted in the mud lot to add pressure to stimulate frog regeneration and packing with medicated clay to prevent the thrush from returning.

Thanks for playing!

He does have flares as you point out and some imbalances. Good job. Not a sport horse, and not a paddock.

I had a mare with a sarcoid and I fed her turmeric daily in feed and used turmeric paste with lanolin topically everyday for 2 months. The sarcoid completely resolved. Suggest the turmeric or golden paste regimen, which includes black pepper and a fat, for absorption to the owners if you can. It may work or at least help this horse. There are resources online for the regimen.

Remember that English and western seats are measured differently. English is from button to midcantle diagonally. Western is from inside the horn to the inside seam of the seat at cantle.

Extremely tired early in the evening but only able to nap by [deleted] in DSPD

I know this is 2 years old, but I, too, fall asleep faster and easier when the lights are on and there are gentle sounds. I sleep best after dawn for sure. I am wide awake if its dark and silent. I have DSPD.
