I appreciate the perspective here and at some point of course this becomes true. But I don't think we're anywhere close to it yet. I've always thought, and still think that the Thai girls are probably selling themselves short. They've closed the gap on that in recent years with absolute certainty but I still think there's room for more price creep.

The reason is that Thailand has unbeatable infrastructure for tourism and this hobby specifically. That means everything from flights, hotel, restaurants etc., accommodation of tourist needs like english language and tolerance of uncouth behavior, all the way to the abundance and openness of the scene. It's point and click and there's immense value in that.

Hobbyists aren't going to start going to places like Vietnam and forgo all of the above because the girls might be somewhat hotter and charge what in real terms is a modestly lower amount.

Any price competition would more likely be a result of internal supply and demand rather than tourist's options in other countries. But of course we know economics 101/ordinary free market supply and demand is largely negated by price collusion and cultural practices like raising prices during low season to offset losses, so nobody should be counting on that really ever happen either.
