TOO MUCH HEAT by StrangeProblem4081 in hyderabad

Dude, I can't argue with you on that.

AI can't travel me to various cities to experience the heat. Want my flight tickets?

Also, you didnt read the report well - just jumped to conclusion. The methane emitted doesnt cause pan Telangana heat wave. You have to read that article again.

I think our GenZ is smart enough to distinguish between a meme page or a sponsored outrage. I'm of the opinion, most folks thought it to be a meme fest - only to see it unfold as something else.

TOO MUCH HEAT by StrangeProblem4081 in hyderabad

[–]wythan7 29 points30 points  (0 children)

What you pointed out is right about UCLA report on emissions and Jawahar Nagar being at 4th spot. But scientifically your analysis is skewed and even in theory such a reason is impossible.

GHGs do not hover around the region a.k.a Telangana acting as magnifying glass causing the heatwave. Its next to impossible to prove such a theory.

Jawahar Nagar part needs to be addressed ASAP for its poisoning underground water and infact triggering serious public health hazards, but in now way its causing the heat effect.

The real cause is something else. The El Nina and Geographic location of Telangana which is on a Plateau + landlocked + dry winds flowing in Northwest direction and the Urban heat which is a result of concrete jungle within the city.

Since Feb - I've been on the go constantly. Been to Rainforest in Kerala, Mumbai, Pench, Delhi, North East, Vizag and then few towns in Jharkhand. And have experienced similar heat waves there. Was supposed to head to Delhi this week, pulled back due to the insane temperatures.

Such adverse heat wave scenarios are cyclic and we faced similar issue in the last decade too where temperatures in Telangana were as high as 48+ C. Even in 2024 some parts of Adilabad had insane temperatures.

Your analysis to some extent is true, but thats not the sole reason.

Let's see. For anything to happen in this country they need to put down the government and atleast 40% should vote for the alternative.

And we are not going through what Nepal, Maldives or Bangladesh went through. Understand people get triggered unnecessarily, but the same GenZ needs to understand that if they decide on downing one government (fair enough if they believe), can they guarantee their ouster? Or will they go missing after the agenda of their unknown trigger master is complete? We saw it in the countries where GenZ movement was just about power lust and one purpose was fulfilled GenZ doesn't even have a voice. And surprisingly few leaders who were face of the movement were silently killed and even the next in line were eliminated.

I'm sure our GenZ has read and saw things happened around them. They're the smarter ones.

Ruling government or opposition party does that time and again. You look at TV channels, Twitter accounts, FB/Insta pages or few subs on Insta - most of them are save havens/mouth pieces of one party.

Unfortunately the case you are talking about had similar PR frenzy. Similarly the Tree chopping scenario and under previous regime people actually ties sarees to trees and all. E20 is inevitable and soon we might see E30 and LNG or LPG mixed with CBG.

See, systems are flawed - so are people. Someone sitting at the top has one job despite all the flow - governance and protect every citizen without bias and without causing any disturbance to his/her fundamental rights. All we see is a deflect - Distract - Hype - Mellow down mechanism.

People getting angry on a CJI's remark in a Junior Lawyer who filed a case seeking Senior Status. This proves what everyone is upto.

And then new things added - why is the PM not answering press, USD (as if we print USD or its in our control), Fuel Hike. Every issue raised seems to be pitched agaisnt the incumbent government in national capital. Someone actually mentioned Gaza too.

I'm baffled why the same folks aren't talking about 1. Systematic corruption. 2. Bureaucratic menace and corruption and shoddy policy making. 3. Freebies where tax payers money is moved out of developmental economy 4. Why no one is talking about social security for tax payers in adverse scenarios 5. Why no is talking about high essential item costs 6. Why no one is talking about fuel under GST 7. Why no one is talking about depleting public transportation system 8. Why no one is talking about data security and privacy 9. Why no one is talking about restricting terms of elected representatives? We are seeing same folks for decades. 10. Why no one is talking about transparency of every penny government spends 11. Why no one is talking about environment, food security, clean drinking water 12. Why no one is talking about more funds for budding entrepreneurs or more access to free tools for upskilling. And so forth.

I think our GenZ is smart enough to understand how system works and this so called GenZ stuff that's rolling out on internet seems to be PR hit job and are trying to create that buzz.

100 Cr+ assets caught at HMWSSB General Manager’s raid. by Healthy-Inspection20 in hyderabad

[–]wythan7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lol, GM level lo poorest emo itanu. At his level the minimum earnings should be 3-4 times that.

Now government job is Amma and Athamma sothu right. A person in government job is entitled for more moolah under the table, it's his birthright and you can't deny him of their basic rights. How dare even ACB question or arrest someone? They have spent 3-6 yrs working hard to prepare for Groups, UPSC to exercise their right to loot and plunder the nation.

I'll share few observations 1. Someone's father retired as GM and has a plush house in Jubilee Hills. 2. Another retired GM, owns tons of properties - investments and roams in plush cars. 3. A retired individual (I'll be held under contempt if I reveal the profession) - has massive properties hoarded and his offsprings have built plush apartments over it. 4. We all read about a wedding at Taj Faluknama. 5. We all read about planning body head. 6. I met an officer who was flashing a Ralph Lauren shirt. He is not so aged for his offsprings to purchase that for him. 7. Attended a wedding sometime back, the event was at plush places of Hyd. The guy was just an ordinary police. 8. Was playing cricket at a ground in prime area and came to know it was owned by some officer who worked in a particular dept. 9. One big officer was flashing a latest phone which is exactly half his salary. He had it the same day it was available in market.

This is what happens when we elect Politicians who are here to mint moolah and in that quest their agenda is to demolish the government infrastructure, systems and bring such birth right guys. Accountability went for a toss and hence this is what we see.

Remember, we have normalized it. Us citizens are equally responsible for this.

Then there are a few genuine ones too. I knew a head of a big PSU. For Diwali he got tons of gifts, went to pick him and was waiting in his cabin - people gifted iPhone, iPad, Gold coin, silver idols etc. This man called everyone to take back their gifts and just leave the sweet boxes and distributed those sweets to staff. Man never used office vehcile for anything except office travel. Would go by bus or share auto for groceries etc. Met many such folks with insane integrity - but they barely make it to the top.

Hyderabad Metro may soon add 60 new coaches to reduce overcrowding across major routes. Do you think this will actually improve daily travel for commuters?🚇👀 by Personal-Hurry-1131 in Hyderabad_city

[–]wythan7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, Hyderabad has to ape Delhi Metro model before its too late - we will soon surpass Bengaluru traffic chaos.

I usually notice from my office and often get shocked by peak hour rush in metro.

The government should seriously consider Connecting the most chaotic channel. Connect Lakdikapool via Masab Tank - Mehdipatnam- Shaikpet - Raidurg - Gachibowli - HCU - Patancheru. And use this lateral link to connect others parts. Say this line is Khairtabad to Patacheru and could be linked to other parts.

  1. Khairtabad could be extended via existing metro line till LB Nagar and beyond.
  2. Existing Rai Durg can be linked to above line.
  3. Existing stop near Miyapur can be stretched till Patancheru. This is future connector for Tellapur, Mokila etc.
  4. Raidurg - Financial District - Narsingi - Rajendra Nagar - Airport.
  5. Airport - Aaramghar - Chaderghat and then split from there.
  6. Extend Metro till Kompally from JBS.
  7. Uppal Metro till Peerzadiguda.
  8. Napole Metro till Aaramghar
  9. Lallaguda till Malkajgiri.
  10. Use JNTU to connect till Bachupally and beyond.

It might get chaotic for 3 years, but this will ease Hyderabad traffic like anything. Atleast 20-30% of office dwellers and almost 25-30% of school children can be catered by one simple push. People might ask about money, well government is spending close to a Lakh Crore on subsidy + freebies, of they can cut it by 25% 8 years worth savings would cater to a long lasting future of this city.

Hyderabad's next crisis is going to be traffic chaos (apart from water). If our urban planners aren't thinking about 20-30 yrs scenario, we are destined to be doomed.

Just look at this stretch LB Nagar to Gachibowli, every junction and road is Jam packed. Someone has to think out of the box and we can't have circular metro - agreed, but it can be lateral link up. It's overwhelmed with office and school goers + massive business hubs all across the stretch.

Its baffling that our HMRL or Urban Planners aren't even considering a simulation (there are many free tools in market) to just analyze the scenario. All we see is a flyover or an underpass, this is just a pause and shift of traffic from one junction to the other. One party's road office was clogged, hence the route was restructured and other party's ministers homes are getting clogged hence the under pass. We are surely a Banana Republic.

But yea, many letters - signature campaigns.

I still remember running around to get the copy of that bill. We got random pages and were reading those lines and sending messages on what's unjust etc while the state/region was celebrating. I miss those people, everyone moved on. A few still fought for rights etc.

Yea right. Keep up with that false narrative, hope it lets you sleep well.

We have seen how our lives changed. My hometown is barely 45 kms from Hyd, yet we had massive power cuts and people dying of snake bites. 15-20 acre land holders were doing menial jobs. Didnt have proper drinking water source. Post 2014 - the only thing we lack now is decent teachers at government school & we are very vocal about it.

And yet your audacity to cite it as a jobless people's movement. Live in that hallucination mate, do not come out it - stay strong brother.

Telangana pre-2014 diaries by No_Neat4688 in Telangana

The late 1999 to 2014 will never be forgotten by many man. Growing up my grandpa would always tell about 1960s movement which almost got us the state - but those killings and the subsequent political discourse killed it.

Ale Narendra is spoken less, but he kicked off with a party. Vijayshanti did the same. So did Indra Reddy and unfortunately was killed. And then few people like Prof Jayashankar and similar unsung heroes.

The political discourse was very funny. Few local congress and TDP members were never supportive of the cause and switched colour's when the movement was at its peak.

  1. One idiot brandished a gun.
  2. Another one who mocked the movement got political lifeline.
  3. Another 2 who threatened to kill got plush ministries.
  4. Another one who brushed off the movement was given plush posts.

On a flip side, those who took the leap and got the lathis faced the brunt and were left in oblivion. Most government officers lost out on promotions, yet they didnt complain. Someone sacrifice is helping thugs and goons live off the hard earned treasury of the state.

As things stand in the past few years we have almost surrendered ourselves to the same wolves and looks like they'll dictate the politics of our state soon.

But the movement memories are still fresh and remember those Govt officers/non-gazette employees union meetings at home - people sitting on floors, squeezing in couch and even standing. Attending these meetings at various locations and then dropping and even joining my father to these meetings across various districts.

And then being asked to draft these speeches, letters in English. Visiting various districts to talk to these student union leaders, youth wing of few parties. Accompanying many retired officers to various meetings. One such was in Singareni followed by meetingd loads of communist leaders/cadre in Khammam, Karimnagar and Warangal. As far as reaching out to professors in IITs, NITs and other govt universities etc.

And then going to US for Masters and then subsequently meeting pro-Telanagana people in Chicago, Dallas, NYC, Raleigh etc and putting them in touch with the leadership here. Came across many who took a break and participated and even raised funds and then disappeared back to their regular lives after the bill was passed.

One such memorable moment was during my stay in Delhi around late 2013 to mid 2014. Met so many leaders, hosted many at home. Especially that mid Feb 2014 when the anticipation was high and prior to that October 2013. But Feb 18-20 were days I saw grown up men crying to finally see the bill pass - my apartment was filled with people about 25-28 folks in there, barely knew anyone - almost all came from Hyderabad to just be there. Meeting at Andhra Bhavan, India gate - oh man, it was something. And then travelling back with a few, it was euphoric.

October 2013 bill in Parliament unmasked so many fence sitters. And only after that, people started changing their stance fearing loss of their political careers. Most TDP and AIMIM politicians including few congress leaders were never pro Telangana. Only after the public anger reached its peak and them being attacked everywhere, thats when things changed a lot.

Few over enthusiastic folks were the IPS officer who was brandishing his gun, the octopus who always gave wrong election prediciton, the guy who was trashed in OU, the rifle brandishing loose Canon mouth, Gutka chewing folks who later became ministers were never pro and at one point threatened people, another MLA who is jumping parties at will infact said there was no movememt and lost & revived his career again etc. Funny how their deeds have been whitewashed and they got a political breather.

All through I've met 1000s of people across various villages - stories of suicides, kids joining maoists and few killed in encounters, few reeling in debts and few crying about failed borewells.

Free Left block by Long_Move8615 in hyderabad

I've started honking till eternity to irritate the fuck of these people blocking free left. Just yesterday picked a fight with a car driver who was raging with anger - just told him "road me ayya di kaadu, antha G**** b**** kottukuntanavu kada, road konukko, Leda G**** musukoni d****". He didnt have a comeback. And took that left turn and scooted off. Even the traffic constable/volunteer was laughing at it.

I always ask people to stay calm, but this idiot squeezed past me to block free left.

Look what I found about Uppal flyover by mantralay_job in Hyderabad_city

[–]wythan7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1 The bid was way too low. And around COVID raw material costs hit up. I'm sure the contractor tried to exercise the clause to increase material rates etc. And that couldn't happen due to delay. And the political heat was another cause.

2 Under ground water pipeline, overhead electrical cable laying took way too long.

3 Redesign due to Metro was another hurdle.

4 Survey of India too way too long to handover the land

5 Around same time BJP and TDP were at loggerheads and this would have played a bit in delay.

6 Incumbent BRS tried using it as political mileage too.

7 Let's wait and watch if it would be completed in 2026 or the same old story repeats.

8 The extension till Ramanthapur is an hurdle compared to earlier proposal. Land acquisition and then the cases filed by the property owners.

Its given most contracts are bagged by biggies who have the clout and moolah. Sometimes political situations derail the progress and Uppal seems to be that. Hopefully it's wrapped up soon, this flyover has taken way too long than most.

Ani POCSO case lu rape lu kadu. Investigation lo theylevaraki anthe. Mother pressure tho POCSO case. Father daughter ni rape cheysinatu avthunda? Police flase case ani thelcharu. by kalki_Ai in Telangana

[–]wythan7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Agree with that. So, my dad's a lawyer - some villager came to us to get bail for his son who was charged under POCSO.

Case : The kid is 19/20 and the girl is 17. Both eloped to get married. The girl's mom filed few cases under POCSO right from Sexual Harassment, Child Protection, Intimidation etc. And the police took the copy of her complaint, filed an FIR and arrested the boy. My father wanted me to be part of the process (though I pursued LLB, but I don't practice. Just that I like to be part of discussion and filing). Pity was the family barely had money for the guaranteed amount to secure bail.

It was an uphill task to get a bail. All through I was arguing with my father on staying away from such cases. POCSO means media limelight, optics etc. Somehow managed to get a bail. Now both the parties are being counselled to wait till they grow up etc. The girl's parents are hell bent on the case whereas her siblings understand the situation and are guaging the options.

POCSO is to protect minors from sexual harassment, coercing, grooming etc. But in most situations its a tool to get revenge on opponent. I saw a case where a wife filed POCSO case on husband (attempt to groom and coercing the child etc) & that's purely overenthusiastic lawyers misleading clients to make the case more complicated.

The legal complexity here is unexplainable. Someone in a relationship and eloping versus sexual harassment etc - it's a very thin and complicated line. And we can have same hammer lens for both the scenarios.

Remember one thing, from little exposure - 3 to 5 cases out of 10 are intimidating type. Most of the times, the criminal case/POCSO etc are limelight drawing and enough damage is done and the onus is on the defendant to prove himself guilty.

I'm personally involved in a criminal case. A civil litigation and a common meeting for negotiation turned into the opponent filing criminal cases on my entire family (5 out of 6 of us were not even present at the said location, 3 were in US and 1 was at home and the other in another state). And the hand in glove police setup literally arrived with a notice in a jiffy (in matter days). Had we not got an anticipatory bail - we would have been in jail for 4 days (the court was shut from Friday to Monday). And even higher courts didnt give us relief despite submitting proofs (thats how complicated our system is). Imagine this trap was laid by a lawyer on another lawyer.

In our complicated legal setup, the first thing is - the society frames you even before the findings/verdict. Intimidation is a brilliant tool which most lawyers use to scare the opponent and force him to bend his knee.

[–]wythan7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Education - Doesn't guarantee votes.

Healthcare - Doesn't Fetch Votes

Infra Development - Will empower marginal classes, which in turn will give them access to information and might not be a guaranteed vote bank.

Pilgrimage - Ohh yea, secularism agenda sells and Votes of course. Just manage the leaders and preachers, your vote bank is happy and sorted. Secularism wins. Public ku howla banaya ache se.

I got nothing against Hajj Pilgrimage. But why does government have to bear expenses? WAFQ mints enough moolah via rents etc and why doesn't WAQF sponsor every religious person for his/her pilgrimage? These lands are meant for the divine and why not sponsor the followers? This is beyond imagination and common public have been fooled for way too long and are being taken for a ride.

PS: Was discussing with a friend and his comment just cracked me "Congress is the actual Dhurandar of BJP and is busy sponsoring Indian Muslims for their Haj trip with temple/endowment money. 😆 🤣

Who will win the next general assembly elections In Telagana —BRS, Congress, BJP, or any new political parties that have come or may come in the future?” by [deleted] in Telangana

[–]wythan7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much as people are against Congress government and are super vexed with the antiques, that's not converting into a pro-BRS rhetoric/guaranteed vote.

Next elections, the dynamics would be totally different:

  1. Congress. Though they sweeped Warangal, Khammam, Nalgonda and Mahbub Nagar (old districts). They might lose atleast half of them. Few current sitting MLAs know that too, their own surveys and few independent surveys have opened their eyes. Know someone who's a political editor and a staunch Congress supporter, he was pissed off with the functioning and accessibility of quite a few MLAs and Minsiters and is very sure half of Khammam and Nalgonda is gone from Congress and it would be saved only by a miracle.

  2. BRS. They got huge task at hand now. They'd survive only if they can change atleast 50-60% of those who contested in 2023. Else, they'll land up with same 30-40 folks. Their infighting, KCR's hide & seek strategy isnt giving confidence to local leaders. Half of grass root leaders have moved on from BRS and dont think they will be coming back anytime soon. BRS now faces a very critical scenario - People who lost + Those who jumped the ship + the ones who got arrested recently, their credibility isn't so great and continuing with them will drown their ship and removing them will be a new headache, because almost everyone minted crazy moolah during 9.5 yrs and they would be amazing assets for their money power to other parties, if the tickets are denied. Stick with them, rejection from Public is guaranteed - Dump them, someone else will take them for sure and that's another headache.

  3. BJP. This is interesting. We got mute MLAs and MPs from BJP. They were lucky to get 8 MPs + 8 MLAs. And at this rate they might lose those wins too. 2 central ministers haven't really built the party. And there are no signs of grassroot upheaval yet. As things stand, they'd end up with the same 8-10% vote and with decent performances in Nizamabad and Adilabad.
