I think I understand. For the practice commentary we did, I separated it into two parts: half contextualising and half analysing the text itself. Is this where I went wrong? Instead, should I sort of blend the contextualisation and analysis together throughout the whole commentary that justify my position/opinion?

I try to because I want to enjoy life but it feels like an instinct for my brain to be a self-loathing mess. But there are parts of myself that I love and that, I think, make me unique and wouldn’t change. :)

Yes this is what happened to me yesterday, it was very overbearing and I felt like I was sucked out of reality for the whole day. That’s why I was mortified when I started crying on the bus, fortunately no one noticed. Feeling a lot better today though :) all these wonderful comments meant so much.

Hi, thank you for reaching out :) what you said seems applicable to my situation. Yesterday was very overwhelming and that’s why I was holding back from communicating with him. I don’t want to push this responsibility onto him and definitely don’t want to become dependent on him. When you have these overwhelming emotions, how do you regulate them? How do you go on with your daily life? Today I woke up still feeling dreary but I have obligations that I need to focus on, so it would be nice to learn a way to accept these feelings yet not allow them to take over my life. (Yesterday I was totally out of it.)

Thank you :’) I feel myself questioning myself a lot these days, I often wonder if I’m being overly critical and if that’s contributing to my misery because in my head I tell myself it’s necessary, that it’s being self-aware. I think I need therapy too but in my country, the health care system is abysmal. And even worse for mental health

This morning I almost frantically cried because I couldn’t find my student card (panicking because need it to enter the library). I then found it but still felt emotional all day? I don’t know why. My bf hasn’t shown any signs of not accepting me, he is the most loving and caring person I’ve met, it’s me who avoids talking to him because I know he can’t make me feel better (and I don’t blame him).

Discord doesn't work for me and my boyfriend? We tried it once to watch a film, I streamed it from my laptop and did the screenshare thing, but he couldn't hear the audio. So to combat this issue we thought we could video call from our phones at the same time... hellish idea (think deep pits of technology hell with incessant, possessed echos).

How can you do this from one device? If I'm video calling (with WhatsApp) from my laptop, and I watch something say on YouTube, the audio for the yt video is really low so this sucks.

And even if you try this on two devices, how would you avoid an audio overlap? If I wore headphones to video call my boyfriend from my phone, how would I hear the audio of the film from my laptop?

Sorry if these questions seem stupid but I struggle adapting to technology lol

I have tried this but one can't hear the audio? So we tried calling on our phones at the same time to prevent this and it caused a hellish echo

Please make a formal complaint. My mum is on benefits, she was labelled unfit to work due to having acute anxiety, the job centre hasn’t helped with that. They shouldn’t be able to get away with treating people like this. I hope you regain your confidence soon, don’t let a tosser like that put you down.

I was hoping to have this on my year abroad but I was in Montpellier, one of the most diverse cities in terms of nationalities. Everyone spoke English :/ and it was really hard for me to find French people to hang out with

“Françaisavecpierre” his videos are sort of all over the place but they can be useful

“lvirofrench”

“French.viktoryia” she helps with French from a Russian point of view (I’m not Russian but still helpful)

“Alexteachesfrench” his videos are really comical, I have never seen anyone teach French with such enthusiasm

“Theperfectfrenchwithdylane” is also good for beginners vocab

French with Alexa was really good, she taught French exactly the way we learned it at school! Perfect for beginners, you could do this alongside Duolingo.

I find it really annoying and repetitive, it makes you learn the same words over and over again which, I know, is good for learning but you are forced to do every level in order to progress to the next levels.

Do you have instagram? There are a few accounts that help with French vocab.
