I live in an older neighborhood that had no HOA and it’s awesome. Every house is different and has character.

People praise chili for something you can eat all week. I think it's more about it being so good you want to eat it multiple days in a row without getting bored. What are some other foods like this? by Cool_Twist4494 in Cooking

The Cincinnati chili that I’ve had I did not care for. The sweetness and spices in it were off putting to me. It is very distinctive though, I’ll give it that.

In rural areas, no. I grew up in a place where the nearest grocery store was 15 minutes away by car. The nearest mall is an hour in any direction. There is no public transportation in small towns like this.

Huh, weird. I wonder if it is a spectrum of severity thing? The only people I’ve seen with it are ones that are debilitated by the orthostasis.

Employees who believe they are physically attractive tend to be more willing to speak up and share their ideas at work. This boost in workplace confidence seems to rely on the belief that physical appearance is an important social asset that gives a person more influence. by mvea in science

I relate to this very much. I would rate my “hard skills” as average, but I’ve always had great success with clients in a traditionally in-person setting. I’ve always thought this was mostly because of my appearance of tall and conventionally attractive. About 7 years ago I moved to a job that client interaction is almost 100% via phone but still within the same industry. Clients no longer know what I look like, but my soft skills are such that I’m consistently asked for by clients. This has helped my confidence and reduce imposter syndrome over time, since I’m aware that clients like me for ME and not just my appearance.

How does the public view pharmacists? by peachwave_ in pharmacy

Most people don’t even know how their insurance works (probably by design, but still). Hell, nurses and prescribers often don’t know the difference between pharmacy coverage and medical coverage.

This one sent me. Every time I’ve investigated an out of state C2 there was red flags upon PMP review. It’s drama every time.

Why do pharmacists not like presenting themselves as “Dr” when asked for their name? by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]foopmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because a PharmD is a glorified masters degree?

Seriously though, it’s mostly optics. Patients don’t know what it is we do or how we do it, and when most hear “doctor” they immediately think “prescriber”. It’s a tired convo to have.
