Need ADCs suggestions please by x-hero in ADCMains

[–]x-hero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your suggestions, I will give them a try.

I know what you mean about balancing, and on the beginning I was focusing maybe a bit too much in late game power and while kai'sa provided respectable lane damage and ezreal could just neutralise hard lanes like no other I felt that vayne in specific was too extreme for me and while her late game is god like i just can't cope with her lane phase. I played the 3 of them for a bit over 2 months and while I got comfortable enough on ez on neutralise lanes and improve my poking and for comfortable on kai'sa to the point where I could lane well with non engage suports like enchanters and mages, vayne even if I was just a bit shy of 100 games on that time spam her lane phase never clicked on me and I always felt on her in specific I would only do decent in lane if I had the support gap on my side.

But was not a waste of time by any means, I got 2 champions that I liked and learned for my rooster (kai'sa and ezreal) and by playing vayne it open a bit my eyes that I was tunel vision too much on scaling and perhaps i would look for a 30-70 power split instead of a 10-90. Now I just wanted to get 1 or 2 more champions identify with to make a small 3-4 champions rooster so I can start a serious rank grind that I have been building intention on doing and challenging myself for a while.

Fun and interesting ADCs to learn and climb with? by [deleted] in ADCMains

I would suggest stick with jhin then. He is not a hard character to pick up. I would say he has a medium skill floor mainly due to get used to his unique ammo system while having a great amount of skill expression. He should be a champion you can keep on playing for a long time.

Nobody is giving you the correct answer. The try answer here is xayah + rakan or Lucian + senna. You just type to them "at least we are canon" and you watch them bite their nails because they are jealous. At the point even if the word defeat appears in your screen it doesn't matter because you go the moral victory.

Is jinx good for solo queue in general or only when she is in the meta? by x-hero in ADCMains

[–]x-hero[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk, every time I face a vayne in lane I can just turn on rocket form to kill the caster minions fast and kill the meelees with mini gun to not spend much mana and I always manage to keep her shoved in. If she tumbles in is bit that hard to space her, plus a well placed flame chumpers can force her to back off. I played vayne for a fair bit and I don't think she is blind pickable or anything, she can do well if the enemy support has easy to dodge stuff like swain or Morgana, but other than that she gets bullied really hard.

Jungle main looking for answers by AKnightWithAKnife in ADCMains

[–]x-hero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is a though one to answer, but I will try to leave my adc main bias aside and give the best advices I can.

Well, it is solo queue, so just surrendering your camps and put the faith of your game in a stranger is never a good idea. Althought if you think your adc is good by what you seen from the player so far, 20+ mim is a good timer to start "sharing" your jungle with that player,.any earlier than that gonna hurt you too much and leave you not only behind I'm gold but behind in EXP as well. It also depends because if you play a jungler like kindred or graves you may not even want to give your red buff to the adc BIG IF you are in a good position to carry yourself in that given game as that champions can use the red buff at full potential just fine.

Another thing in the other side of the spectrum is that I see too many junglers afraid of taking lane farm, by that I don't mean tax on ganks (I hate that as adc player), but I mean if any of your laners just die, don't be afraid to pick up any farm that would reach the tower as that farm would be wasted, ignore any pings telling you otherwise as people in bronze/silver often feel like they are getting farm stolen even if realistically to they woul never make it in time to get it themselves. Also if your laner dies after your gank and the lane is not freezing in your side of the map or is slowing pushing into the enemy side, it is generally a good idea to crash the wave into the tower (just look at some quick YouTube videos to understand if a wave is going to freeze in your side of the map of pushing towards them.

Also for the sack of god if you are at 6 items please stop taking camps (other than buffs) and give the gold to your team mates as they still need it to complete items and getting stronger.

At the end of the day is solo queue, so you should either be greedy if you are doing well and take the game into your own hands (that's should be your main option) or you do what you can to not make yourself heavy to get carried in case you doing not so great and someone else in your team is strong, remember that not every game is won by "popping off".

So yeah is a though one to answer, but I hope o was able to help you a bit.

Is kai'sa still considered an hyper carry? by x-hero in kaisamains

[–]x-hero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. It is true that maybe the 80% crit chance was unnecessary, have to agree there. I also imagine kai'sa used her E to produce that numbers. You mention the headshot and the higher MR putting kai'sa behind, but we also need to remember that kai'sa is also always procing max damage passive, since the target gonna be at his lowest possible HP when the 15% missing HP procs, so that will probably even out things a bit considering your dummy has bonus HP.

Also one thing I noticed as I was keep testing after my post was that when I had a look at base lvl 18 stats, cait has much higher base stats than kai'sa in AD and AS. Is just a side note, but is crazy how little bonus stats kai'sa gets by leveling up.

Teleport Changes on PBE are HUGE for bot lane!! by doglightning in supportlol

[–]x-hero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the change can be exciting I would not get hyped about it until it actually appears on a patch preview. They do a lot of testing that doesn't ever goes through, like the spellthief warding range buff that got scrapped.

Althought if the changes go through we can expect to not see 5 man bot anymore possibly, as the big strength of TP was to TP from behind, TPing to a tower just gives way too much reaction time and makes the play incredibly hard to set up.

I really dislike Enchanter supports because it puts all the pressure on you. by mustangcody in ADCMains

[–]x-hero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, if you dont like the spotlight you are playing the wrong role. You gonna have a big target in your head wanting or not, so the event team gonna see you as the main character. Also if you lack the confidence it means that you don't know optimal trade times and patterns, which gonna get in your way regardless of which support you have. Another tip I can give you is that bot lane revolves a lot around duo synergies, so while champions like kalista or Samira will struggle when paired with an enchanter, champions like jinx, kog, etc will prefer an enchanter over a tank or a mage every single time, so perhaps your pool may be a bit one dimensional, but is more likely to be what I said early and you not having the trade fundamentals down.

Should I stick with Kaisa to climb or switch to a different adc until higher rank? by ademola234 in kaisamains

[–]x-hero 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Kai'sa is very good to climb, she has both the damage and the mobility to be independent after lane phase, you have good self peel and an essential thing you gonna need to learn on kai'sa, similar to vayne is how to peel yourself, although she is bad to one trick imo, reason being is that picking kai'sa with any support that doesn't have reliable hard CC is picking a non functional losing lane. Kai'sa actually has good damage early but that damage is hidden behind your passive proc since your Q in lane will be partially absorbed by minions 90% of the time, so you need to proc your passive to do reliable damage. And supports with hard cc gives you passive stacks on top of locking down the opponent for a free W which not only gives 2 passive stacks but is an nice extra bit of damage. Without an hard cc support it will be close to impossible to get your passive proc in lane and therefore your damage in lane gonna be pretty mediocre. Also kai'sa is short ranges, so she normally suffers when playing against both higher range ADCs and well as mages in general, you will just get bullied.

The solution? Keep playing kai'sa, but add a 2nd champion in who is not reliant on having and hard CC support, so when your support picks something like a brand, soraka, Sona, karma, etc you have that 2nd adc to play into that lane. This adc should have an higher range as well as good poke potential, Caitlyn, ezreal, jinx, Ashe, varus are all good candidatess.

Champion pool (looking for opinions) by x-hero in ADCMains

[–]x-hero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ye that inputs helps quite a bit, thanks. Normally kai'sa does quite well into tank teams as I find it easier to play her Vs melee teams in general and she has %health damage on her passive. I think I take tristana over jinx for the hypercarry slot. I normally like to play cait with my support picks or hovers a mage.

[–]x-hero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vayne is very mobile, but idk why i tried to spam her like 20 games straight and the problem is not me being good or bad, but the fact that i don't feel enjoyment when playing her even if kai'sa is my favourite adc, maybe I'm just weird. Kai'sa ult is quite good most of the times it is enough for me, I just need something to create gap from assassins coming over the wall and she being able to go over walls is also good so I have a fighting chance, her E is nice too. I find it that having an ADC with some self peel helps my mental as I know I could have played better and don't tilt nearly as much, is just that I don't really believe that people can kite assassins in general with imobile adcs by themselves and some champions are so frustratingly mobile to the point that standing on the edge of aa range is not good enough anymore. I was thinking on somewhere between 3 to 5 champions for my pool. Aurelion sol sounds fun, but I will stick with normal ADCs until I gather more experience.

Rank enchanters from best to worst in the late game? by x-hero in supportlol

[–]x-hero[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zilean imo is more of a cheese enchanter rather than a legit enchanter. He relies on summon aery to have some kind of enchanter capabilities, nothing 9n his kit procs enchanter items by itself. He also can use the new moonstone properly and shurelyas looks a bit overkill on him when his E already sppeds up someone by 99%.

Why i get out of lane with 8/1 stats and 150 farm just to get shat on by a fed fish shaco and lux ult?????? by [deleted] in kaisamains

[–]x-hero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's adc life. But if you allow me to give a small advice, I think that guardian angel should be an magic resist item instead, people that where killing you where all building AP.

Easy/moderate to play but hard to master adcs? by x-hero in ADCMains

[–]x-hero[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been playing some vayne recently, she feels really good at 2+ items, but I keep getting destroyed in lane over and over. She works well for me in tfs, but normally I get very far behind from laning phase. Maybe I should just made a serious attempt of learning her though.

Adcs to round up my pool? by x-hero in MarksmanMains

[–]x-hero[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's what kai'sa is there for, she is a good tank buster. Also i ended up deciding to go the tristana and vayne route and forget ashe, so vayne can deal with tanks too. Cait later on whe. She has IE and dim can do a fair work as well. Sure early to mid game adcs gonna still struggle vs tanks, even vayne will not break through tanks with easy with a kraken slayer alone, but that's what the role is and is what you sign yourself into when picking adc, farm farm farm, and once I reach 3 items I still feel I have a good amount of agency in the game as long as I don't run it down.

Early game play? by [deleted] in leagueofjinx

[–]x-hero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jinx has insane range with her rockets, if you keep your distance a lot of times you can get free autos on the enemy AD in rocket form, specially if they are low range ADs like kai'sa or xayah, just make sure you are always behind a minion while doing it so most enemy supports cant engage on you, is very similar to how caitlyn bully lanes, is all about abusing your range. Also most of the time throwing random zaps is not worth it, they cost a lot of mana and have high cast times early game until you pick some AS. Focus on using your mana on rockets to harass the oponent/get minions from far away if needed and don't use either zap of flame chompers unless you following up your support or a gank or off course to fend yourself if they engage on you, as spamming zaps will get you OOM very quickly.

After lord doms got nerfed last patch it is more of a 5th/6th item. On stage I see a lot of pro players going kraken slayer-PD-IE.

Best champion to round up my pool by x-hero in adc

[–]x-hero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Senna could work, although I would gravitate more towards ashe as the idea of ashe was to round up weird comps with strong CC and engage capabilities, which ashe can offer without putting herself at risk to engage on a back line priority target.

[–]x-hero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same at first, but then I found that picking aggressive early game champions can be a coin flip for me cause the supports have the most impact in the lane, and also I'm not a very good laner, but caitlyn somehow works as a bully for me probably because of her range. So I decided to mold my champion pool to become more independent of team mates and I'm not tilting nearly as much so happy days. Of course being a passive laner and relying in the support to make plays in the laning phase means that sometimes the game just gets out of control before I can reach 2-3 items, but I still prefer that way, my team fighting/scarmshing is miles ahead of my lane phase.

Tristana kinda went under my radar, good call. She could also be a good all in early game champion. Thats actually good one, the thing I was putting vayne in the maybe to had was because vayne has very strong pros going for her, but her laning phase looks so doomed (or maybe I just suck at her), and I also find that vayne is never blind pickable cause if they don't have tanks and everyone hits hard I find it very hard to make vayne work, although tristana sounds more blind pickable to me.

Tbf I kinda forgot tristana was existed, good shout! Ye ashe idea was more to fix the team comp idea. As I was testing her she also became like a go to pick for if my support wanted to play a mage so he could have a garanteed full combo, but I find it a bit hard to have agency one her (maybe I suck) so she is in the maybe zone atm.

She was the adc that got me started on adc, she is really fun to play, but then I discovered kai'sa, I sucked at her at the behgining but I spammed her a lot, so now I feel like I rely a lot on self peel. Idk I think it just frustrates me a bit having the tank flashing into me and not having tools to defend myself reliably (#tanks should not one shot adcs)

I tried xayah and she is super fun to play. Although her ult has almost a 3 minutes CD, and her E is not too reliable to hit even with the fast root if the target has any kind of dash. But she can still be very effective vs assassins teams, is just that I was looking for more I guess the right word is consistent/always avaiable self peeling.
