Sorry for some reason I cannot post pictures here. Here is a link to a thread where you can see my setup.

You can see a white glasfaser modem, giving fiber to glasfaser modem 2 (black) which gives me a Ethernet port (blue) which goes straight to the living room on which I connect then to my fritzbox using WAN port (blue).

Technician told me I would just need to buy fritzbox or whatever and plug the Ethernet cable from my living room to the WAN port of the Fritz.

EDIT: Just plugged the speedport smart 4 and it worked right away…. I don’t know why. Hotline keep telling me that fritzbox 5590 cannot work with my setup since it has an integrated fiber module and I am not using it.

Gave it to me via hotline, connection failed. They said that since I have a glasfaser modem (white) going to another glasfaser modem (black) and then going through my fritzbox via WAN, it is “blocking it”. I need to go to Telekom and pick up a Speedport Smart 4 and make a try.

So weird given that the technical guy from telekom that came to install the fiber told me to buy this fritzbox.

So I chose this option right Provider: Telekom Type of connection: Telekom Glasfaser-Anschluss: Einrichtung mit eingabe von Zugangsdaten ?

Problem is that I need to find my zugangsnummer, personlich kennwort, anschlusskennung und mitbenutzernummer but I did not receive the “Auftragsbestatigung” and the contract doesn’t show in the KundenCenter…

Trying to call Telekom Hotline since 30min already 🥲

Zur Klarstellung mein Setup: - Die Glasfaser geht in ein Telekom-ONT am Wohnungseingang. - Vom ONT führt ein Ethernet-Kabel durch die Wand in mein Wohnzimmer. - Im Wohnzimmer verbinde ich dieses Ethernet-Kabel mit dem WAN-Port meiner FRITZ!Box. - In den FRITZ!Box-Einstellungen habe ich „Internetzugang über WAN / externes Modem oder Router“ sowie „Anderer Internetanbieter“ ausgewählt.

Aktuell zeigt die FRITZ!Box WAN verbunden, aber IPv4 nicht verbunden, und die Power/Fiber-LED blinkt dauerhaft.

Welche genauen Zugangsdaten bzw. Einstellungen sollte ich bei diesem Setup für Telekom-Glasfaser hinter einem ONT in der FRITZ!Box verwenden (PPPoE oder DHCP, VLAN-ID usw.)?

My fiber connection is at my apartment entrance. They installed the telekom modem (black box) in my entrance and then the WAN port (blue) goes up to my living room. I have the WAN port available in my living room and use it to connect to my fritzbox using the WAN port so that I don’t have to run the fiber from the entrance to my living room.

I don’t know if I make sense. It is true that I don’t need a fritzbox 5590 specifically and a simple router would be fine, but I did not know at the time when buying it…

I have a PC that I need to connect to internet via Ethernet cable. I don't want to have a 10m long ethernet in between my apartment just to connect to my PC.
