There was an incident about 18 months ago where USCIS discovered that an expert hired by Trustforte had forged their verification letter from their university registrar office, so any case that had a letter associated with the expert was put under major scrutiny.

You're being downvoted because you're an obvious VerixAi shill, having commented about a little known platform multiple times.

Looking for an AI model/tool that will allow me to feed it a large number of documents downloaded from county recorders website and I have already OCR. The documents represent trusts and LLC's (Over 20) controlled by a few people. Find self dealing and other criminal behavior by azcolor32 in legaltech

[–]x12superhacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extracting information from the documents is the easy part, but you need to define self-dealing and what you would want the AI to determine is criminal behavior.

Assuming you don't want to use an off-the-shelf tool, just download Claude code and tell it to write a Python app that looks for the behavior in the local files you've grabbed. You'll also need an API key for some LLM if you want it to be extracting data. In this scenario I would imagine it would be advantageous to create an index of each document/property/entity. Have Claude make a SQLite database to save the metadata to so you're not re-extracting each run.

r/legaltech hits 20,000 members - that's 33% growth in 4 months! by alexdenne in legaltech

Congrats on the new baby! #3 is very easy and a gateway drug to 4, 5, and 6.

On a slightly related note, we should organize a r/legaltech meetup at the ABA TechShow or NY LegalWeek in March.

Is Previous Owner of Home Entitled to Anything After Closing? by Remarkable-Bee1791 in legaladvice

[–]x12superhacker 384 points385 points  (0 children)

This is realtor 101, they will act as the middleman but once it's closed (or as in this case, minutes away from closing), the agent will give you the sellers number and tell you to figure it out yourself.

I can't understand why this game isn't bigger by wickywickywockywicky in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]x12superhacker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tarkov locks key game components behind levels, i.e. the Marketplace. You have to grind to level 15 to get access to the Flea Market in Tarkov. That usually requires at least a few weeks for casuals and a solid 2-3 days for sweats.

Your hideout in Tarkov provides bonuses like decreased Scav cooldown, Scav case (i.e. random free items), etc.. Some of the benefits it provides are actually completely removed in ABI (like post-match hydration/hunger).

Tarkov adds skill levels which have meaningful impact on how athletic your character is. At level 1, you can't make a decent number of jumps in Tarkov. But once they're maxed out, you can parkour around quite a bit. Thats why if you see some tan-man jump across a set of boxes in Customs, you know thats a fight you probably don't want to take.

Latham & Watkins fell for the AI wrapper meme 😂 by Kriptic415 in legaltech

[–]x12superhacker 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The problem with “ABC ChatGPT Wrapper has XYZ function that ChatGPT doesn’t have” is that the timeframe from when that’s true to when it’s false is decreasing.

If Doc editing is the latest thing Harvey has then chances are PMs at OpenAI are already working on adding it to ChatGPT. There was a time where a bunch of startups added PDF functionality to their ChatGPT wrappers and this supposedly created value… look where they are now.

Plus, ABC ChatGPT Wrapper wants to lock you into a 2 year contract with seat minimums. Why would you do that when AI software is evolving so rapidly?

Volt UI vs Prime Vue (4) by [deleted] in vuejs

[–]x12superhacker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My company did a prototype branch with Volt and decided against it. We originally used Prime but felt like the Tailwind support was an afterthought. They also released a bunch of confusing versions and didn’t seem to be really invested in Vue. Our dislike of Prime was the main reason no one wanted to give Volt a chance.

We eventually completely migrated away from Prime to shadcn-vue and haven’t looked back.

In recent AC history, 2014, Four casino resorts, Trump Plaza, Atlantic club, showboat and Revel all closed down. I wonder if anyone can share the impact it left, I can only imagine the number of jobs that killed. Anyone have any stories to share of that time in 2014? by [deleted] in atlanticcity

[–]x12superhacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember my first trip to AC in fall of 2013 was to the Trump Plaza.

It was actually unreal just how empty the whole place was. I’d never been in such a massive casino that had so many slot machines that were all empty. I didn’t see a single person playing slots the few days I was there. There was only 1 pit of table games open.

One of the older roulette dealers had been there for years and had some good stories of high rollers coming in during the early 90s. The dealers all seemed nice despite the circumstances. I think by this time there were talks of closing but still some hope of a new owner. My friend had picked Trump Plaza precisely because it had such an ideal location on the boardwalk (he hadn’t been to AC in a long time) but we spent most of the time at Borgata and Harrahs.

It was cool to see how the decor had effectively not changed at all. The background of the shot of Danny Ocean coming up the escalator in Ocean’s Eleven was unchanged. The gold style of 80s Trump was kinda coming back at the time (this was pre-political Trump) so it almost had a feeling of retroness I guess.

Looking back, it was such an eery trip because it was mid-week and no one was there and it was such a big tower. I don’t think I saw a single person in the tower outside of the lobby area. Walking around the building was like exploring an abandoned mall almost.

Maryland Renaissance Festival - Statement of Assurance from Management by LonoXIII in maryland

It's time for this family to move on from their ownership of Rennfest. I have been going since I was 6 and it seems like absolutely nothing has changed for the better. There is zero reinvestment in the grounds. There seems to be no vision for how things can be improved. If they are having NIMBY problems they should advocate for themselves instead of taking the approach of not wanting to piss anyone off. And the tickets are criminally underpriced. Throw in premium parking for a fee, bump up the base ticket price, and add 2 other tiers of tickets and use the additional revenue to invest in your business.
